Bob Dole, a Mitt Romney supporter and former Republican presidential nominee, issued a scathing statement Thursday blasting Newt Gingrich for being a "one-man-band who rarely took advice." In an open letter to conservatives distributed by Romney's campaign, Dole said he personally took steps to assist the former House speaker pay off a penalty levied by the House Ethics Committee.
Does this even matter? Or does this make you lean towards or against newt even more???
Frankly, I don't think it matters. Bob Dole was an embarrassment when he was the nominee, and now he's more famous for his Viagra ads. I just think no one will really pay attention to him on this. It doesn't make me go up or down about Newt. Pretty sorry bunch all together anyway.
