Okay, I was hoping at an attempt for some objective answers.

What we are hearing is not planes, not trains, not mining. Tinnitus is not contagious, how do you explain multiple people hearing it.

Original post here - I noticed that there was another post from Ball Ground in the northeast corner of Cherokee County. My wife and I have heard the "roaring" noise for at least 12 months, typically at night, more frequently on cloudy nights but occasionally on clear nights as well.

We both have a background in paranormal research and our original attack is to rule out the obvious. We do have marble mines close to us, but the noises are made outside of their hours of operation, There is a railway close to us, but no trains are passing when the noise is heard. We are within 5 miles of a very small airport, but the noise is not an airplane.

What we have heard is a constant "thrumming" sound, it drones on and on and very infrequently changes tone, volume or tempo. The strangest part is, it seems to come from everywhere while not really loud enough to record. No trumpets, no whistling, just a consistent noise that is all-enveloping.

An emotional way to describe it is, if you have ever been at very high altitudes and surrounded by clouds. The clouds are above, below and to both sides but you couldn't pinpoint where the cloud began and ended. What we are hearing is much the same. - End of original post

We heard it again last night, noticed it at 2:08, continued until 2:44. It is too low in volume to be recorded for any type of accurate analysis. We are in the mountains, no military training, prop planes etc. going on. No lights in the sky, no high winds, storms had all passed and it freaked out my 4 dogs as it always does. Neighbors have heard it frequently but are not as "attentive" as we have been.

The weekend is here. Pack a midnight snack, come to Ball Ground this evening and I will be happy to meet up with you. Drive outside of our littte town and tell me what you hear. Rather than being armchair debunkers, any chance of some "experts" on here willing to give it a shot?

It's HAARP. The high frequency energy excites molecules in the ionosphere and gets them vibrating to produce audible sound waves that are heard by people on the ground. The same effect that causes a microwave oven to hum.

I still think there is significance in the constant pitch of the sound ....I haven't been able to keep up with the entire thread but does someone else have thoughts on this? Granted the OP clip isn't that long....

Someone mentioned the the c-130.....I tried to listen to a variety of videos (about 10 so far) and couldn't find one where the pitch remains constant.

....and as far as the volume fluctuation. I would think the most basic assumption would be if the sound gets louder it must be getting closer.....yet the pitch doesn't change. Zero doppler effect. Then when it gets softer, still same pitch. Like someone is messing with a volume control. Dang, wish I would have paid closer attention in acoustics class

I am a musician too (like others have mentioned) and perhaps my brain is just filling in some of the overtones from habit of listening for intonation and reaching to produce the harmonics, I don't know. I would love to hear more people commenting on this though.

Hope this link works. The constant fundamental sounds for quite some time in this video. Any chance this sounds more like what you hear OP? At any rate I don't think what you are hearing can be planes based on the constant pitch of the sound. Maybe atmospheric as some have suggested.....or of course something we just don't know about....yet. Sounds of Jupiter

It's not HAARP.

Of you and I, one of us knows someone who worked on HAARP, the other is you.

You guys would hang your head in shame if you really knew what HAARP was actually capable of.

You give our government way too much credit.

Do tell. Since you do not work for the project and I doubt you were officially read in, then you will not violate any security agreement.

So, spill your brain right here and now before HAARP melts your brain.

Ooops, too late.

Everything you need to know about HAARP is public knowledge. What exactly are you interested in knowing? Hit me up in a u2u, I don't want to derail the thread any further.

So that makes you in the know then huh? You know 'a guy' who worked on HAARP so therefore you know what HAARP is capable of then. Wow, just wow. That's some great investigative skills you got going on there

No. I sleep in the same bed with a woman who has more degrees on her wall than a good portion of this thread put together.. and she was instrumental in creating multiple systems within HAARP. So, while I don't know first hand, my second hand is pretty convincing. Now if you are ACTUALLY interested in talking about it, I suggest you u2u me, as I won't be talking about it any more in this thread.

So then why do you feel it's necessary to mention you know someone that worked there to lend credibility to your conjecture when everything you know is already public knowledge?

Sounds like your just a peon like the rest of us

Last comment from me then. You mean to tell us you're having SEX with her?? Wow
Again, you really felt it necessary to divulge that useless bit of information to help strengthen what exactly? Your ego? You did everything short of actually name dropping.

I told you if you wanted any more information to u2u me.

Stop derailing the thread.

This is becoming all too common...

I have now taken a deeper interest in this.

Here is a copy/paste from a response on a similar thread today that I posted....

(People have started to compare the sound to trumpets as well as heavy machinery. But the 'trumpets' responses have increased...Dbriefed here on ATS quoted several biblical scriptures, describing the 7 seals, the horses, with beasts, angels and trumpets....and here was my response )

As a strong believer in Extraterrestrial intelligent life, and the Ancient Alien theory, here is my 'take' on what those scriptures mean-

Horse: vessel for transportation, as referred to in 'chariot of fire'

The seal being broken: A door opening, as in a door on a vessel

Horns: the sound that the 'space vessel' makes

Angels: aliens ('messengers', as in clerk-level....assistants)

God(s): aliens ( leader, commander, specialist)

Rapture: mothership arrival for mass abduction

Very interesting interpretation. I also subscribe to the ancient aliens theory. Back 'then' when Revelation was written, if you are correct, the people had nothing to compare a spaceship and it's occupants, noises to other than what they had at hand.

Despite the hoaxers, the noise and rumbling phenomena seems too prevalent from apparent credible sources, even here on ATS, to ignore. The only thing I can verify is what I could only call a deep underground rhythmic rumbling that I heard most nights last summer and fall in the foothills of the Rockies NW of Boulder. I have posted about this before. It was something manmade as I highly doubt the earth would create such a regular rhythm over such a time span. It would go on for several hours and a girlfriend of mine heard it also on a regular basis. My first and only guess is that it was/is a boring machine. Planes rarely go directly over head and their noise comes and goes. Denver International Airport is way too far away (60+ miles?) to hear any planes running. One time the vibrations were so deep and intense it gave me an ear ache. I still hear it occasionally but it's not near as loud.

The aerial noises people seem to be hearing in my opinion might be HAARP, HAARP experiments, military experiments, some sort of earth/sun shift, or alien activity. Even possibly, if the galactic alignment will be a true event, seems to be there'd be some sort of audible resonance we'd be able to hear and feel that could take on a few different forms. I have yet to actually hear a video with a trumpet sound coming through though throughout youtube. heh - always wanted to fit those three together. Cheers.

Just like other folks in this thread, I am a long time lurker and have created an account so I can post in this thread. I live in the North Atlanta area and have not heard this sound, but will be listening more carefully and will have my phone at the ready ro record anything.

One thing I want to point out and may have been overlooked as I read through the thread is the fact that Lockheed is in the area. Since the F-22 is no longer being built, what are they doing there?

My guess are probably drone aircrafts and possible airships. Couldn't this be what is heard, atleast in this area?

Another observation is the OP mentioned they are in Sandy Springs, which is very close a large highway system of I-285 and GA-400, so could be traffic noise because of low cloud cover (the weather has been dreadful lately).

I am not a skeptic and actually truly beleive there is something going on, but from my perspective this particular incident may be due to something logical....but perhaps its just a matter of time before I hear it and realize its none of the above!

I love how this guy straight up steals part of my work posted here Conklin Video debunked which I posted for dissemination on the 18th of Jan, and this guy's video was made 3 days later on the 21st, without giving any credit for my research.

Furthermore, it's from GLP which is questionable anyways, and we all know GLP users come here and troll as well. No doubt most of the videos are using a cheap overdub of the Kiev video - WHICH IS THE CONCLUSION I CAME TO 3 days earlier and this guy quoted me verbatim, again without credit.

Finally, his "source" for the sounds is awful. We still haven't found an exact source for the sounds - which I believe are probably faked at this point - but we still haven't conclusively found which source audio was used for the Kiev video. I personally don't think the Red State nor WotW audio is a good match.

Sorry, end of rant. I just hate people using my work for their advantage without proper credit. And I'm pretty sure he used my work.

Hello, Nothing here in Fresno California yet.

I would have to say..your right. I couldn't of said any better.Have you seen the underground mapping system the main base being Dulce NM.It started at Edwards AFB the tunneling system. With the moving ICBM's around on a track system from one silo to the next incase war broke out. the tunneling system their caved in, in 1971 Selmar earthquake and hasn't been repaired since. The trumpets will sound. I think that if it were true. The whole world would hear it not just some places. I think that the noise are the under ground tunneling machines. the sounds seem to be the same exact sounds that have been heard only in the US. The sounds are like placing your mouth to a bottle and slightly blowing into the hole and it makes a sound..same as these machines.the sounds are traveling out the enterance and producing the sounds that are being made. The sounds seen to be only afew hours aday or night. But I could be wrong.. Sonic

God I hope not. More underground bases and tunnels make me feel uneasy.

I've been seeing these videos of strange noises for quite a while, wondering if I've witnessed them without knowing. I've tried to listen for strange sounds outside periodically, but I'm located in the Chicago area, so if there were a faint noise, I wouldn't hear it over all the sound pollution. I'm leaning towards the notion that quite a few of these videos are Faked/Becoming a meme. Its possibly viral marketing for MassEffect3, although if it were, they'd owe the Above Network so much money for not verifying with them first. The instances of large populations experiencing this noise is what peaks my interest in these happenings... Thanks for the post OP!
