Worst State of the Union address ever!

I've been listening to [snip][replaced with Obama] for over an hour now and not one statement on the 'state of the union'! All i've heard is what "we need to do--- what our congress needs to do---what our corporations need to do!" Not one statement on the state of the union. Not one! Just what everyone needs to do in the future and nothing about how things are right now!

He just rapped it up with the killing of 'Osama'.

Yeah, that's great, but instead of discussing what is, he's just blowing about what needs to be!

I cannot even watch it. Listened to 5 minutes with my husband and he turned it off. Thank Goodness.

Yeah, that seems a bit jaded. Of course I haven't seen it. Has it ended yet?

No, I was in the middle of typing it and my comp. went to a different screen and couldn't bring it back. Sorry, I don't know what the heck happened----i'm not that computer swavy yet.

Instead of making an off topic post and risking mod action yourself, try just alerting the mods... I understand where you are coming from and agree with you, but you are not a mod and have no business trying to mini mod the thread. ALERT the mods, not the OP.

That said, I hate watching the State Of The Union Address. Always have. They are always the same. Tons of applause followed by the president saying how great things will be in the future...If we just do this or that...

Yet, some how, things never really do get better.

For this reason, I usually do not watch the SOTU address... They just blow smoke up our butts and walk off the stage....

Yes, I see the threads. I don't know if they beat me to it though( I had comp. problems and maybe they just type faster) but I was creating it as I was watching it towards the end.

I'm not happy because I was going to watch Jeopardy!
