It's my impression that cats act weird and act out in general, hence the reason I've never had one...

The cat might be in pain or bothered by something. Did you check her out for lumps and discolored
mouth or blisters or cuts or fleas? Some animals have tooth aches but cannot tell you. I understand
how you feel. I have cats and myself only sometimes note odd behavior. If they reacted to solar
activity I cannot tell. I do not live in earthquake country either so for me that would not mean much
less we had one here that we could feel.

The cat and I are both pretty weird, so we cancel each other out.

Kind of like you and me.

She is doing well, and all quiet on the feline front. Back to normal.
