I have to admit the U.S. navy saving Iranian sailors was interesting.

A few points to consider:

1. The military does not determine if they are the worlds' policeman. Americans, through their elected officials, are the ones who decide what happens. By contract and oath, military members are sworn to obey lawful orders. Lawful may not have much to do with justice or morality,

2. The military is well aware of the capabilities of those whom they face. They fully embrace the danger does not always equate with the level of technological equipment. It has a lot more to do with the tenacity and ruthlessness of the people they face.

3. The actions of the military do not exist in a vacuum. They are part and parcel of a far more complex socio-economic picture. To claim they cause the world problems is amazingly short sighted.

show you damage on a few spots, that thing was crashed down OR a mock up. If its real it was most likely by accident or with a radar wave, no EMP no tractor beam

An ideal scenario would be this.

The US would not side with Israel and Israel would launch a strike on their own flying there nuclear armend jets across Saudi airspace.

The Russians would pick up the Israeli jets at the moment of take off and relay the data to the Iranians.

Just before the Israel jets left Saudi Arabian airspace Iranian surface to air missiles would shoot each of them down spreading nuclear debris over part of Saudi Arabia and thus infuriating the Saudi people.

A handful of Zionist scum pilots would eject, survive and be captured by local Shia Saudi who live on the east coast of Saudi Arabia. The patriotic Shia would hold the Zionist scum hostage and demand that the corrupt Saudi royals resign over allowing the enemies of Islam the right to fly over the sacred land in which Mecca and Medina are located.

This would cause a real Arab spring in which Muslim and Christian Arabs ruled by leaders seduced by Zionist control of their oil wealth would overthrow the puppets and create real democracy and an alliance of Arab nations and a complete boycott of everything related to the Zionist entity.

The allied Arab nations would join with their cousins in Iran and unite with Muslims in Turkey, Pakistan, all of Central Asia as well as Malaysia and Indonesia and show the world that they need not be a slave to Zionist money lenders and con artists.

The United States would have to face the fact that supporting Israel is now and always was a matter of throwing money down a bottomless hole to appease ungrateful demons.

Insha'Allah

Zionism is the greatest threat to world peace.

The Iranians would make life difficult for the American Naval fleet in the Persian Gulf but do not underestimate some of those secret weapons the US Military has in it's "vault" never been used nor seen before!

That or the US let them have a model of one, the US isnt trying too hard to get their state of the art machine back as they did when Pakistan and China stole that helicopter part. I'm thinking maybe they would let them catch a fake and use it as grounds for invasion.

The biggest difference, technology aside, between our military and Iran's is that the Iranians will have something to fight for given the case that they are attacked/invaded. Our troops are sick and tired of these unwarranted, unconstitutional wars.

We cannot win in the Middle East without eradicating all life there because our enemies are people trying to defend their homeland. Unfortunately, the Afghan and Iraqi resistance groups may now have a strong desire to attack us within our borders via real terrorist attacks given what we have done to their land and their families.

You have no idea how close you could have been to the truth. The United States will not allow Israel to bomb Iranian Nuclear Sites as this would shoot Radioactive dust into the air and poison the whole Middle East. The U.S. will not allow any nation including itself to use Nuclear Weapons in a region that the world depends on for oil.

If you have noticed recently...Russia and China have publicly dropped their support for the Iranian regime as a deal has been made between the U.S., Russia and China. This deal is based on two scenarios....1. Iran actually tries to cut offf the Strait...and the U.S. Fifth Fleet will destroy the Iranian Navy, Airforce and costal military targets but thats it.

If Iran publicly declares it has developed a Nuclear Weapon...the U.S. will use thousands of Special Forces as well as Airborne Rangers to secure all Nuclear sites as we know where they ALL are...secret or not. To prevent high civilian fatalities and to neutralize any Iranian counter attack on our troops....the USAF will use B-2's as well as F-22 Raptors to deliver new powerful Non-Nuclear EMP devices that will render Irans Military innert.

What will NOT HAPPEN is Israel being allowed to bomb Iranian Nuclear Facilities....the Strait will not be closed and with any luck...since Iran has played it's last card and lost support of Russia and China....either come to their senses and allow Nuke inspectors back in as the Iranians themselves know they have only 12 to 18 months before Pro-Democracy Groups force a regime change and the U.S. does not want to kill would be friends by some STUPIDITY by Israel.

If by some highly unlikely chance Iran does use a Nuke or Biologics...the U.S. will retaliate with Low Yeild Neutron Bombs designed to kill all life but keep intact structures and prevent underground oil contamination. This is a last ditch plan and no one wants to do this...but the U.S. has guaranteed both Russia and China continued supply of Natural Gas and Oil that both countries depend on...the U.S. does not get any energy from Iran...but this deal was necessary to send a message to Iran as well as to any other groups in the Middle East...that when it comes to Energy Needs...the U.S., Russia and China will work together to maintain a balance and that these three countries relationships take presidence over all other Minor Allies. Split Infinity

No, at one time, Iraq DID have wmd's, you know how we know? We sold them to them when they were our allies. What Saddam did with them after that, who knows. What happened with Iraq and Afghanistan, was not a conventional war. The majority of what happened in Afghanistan and Iraq after the bombs fell was policing and prevention of the people falling into chaos since we replaced their government. Big difference to what your trying to compare this to. We knew the consequences, that's why our government was telling everyone from the start we'd probably be there 100 years.

The U.S. did destroy the old style Neutron Irradiation via Thermonuclear Detonation version of this type of weapon. There are new versions now specifically designed to be very low yield. Split Infinity

not to mention the 50+ tonnes of yellowcake uranium. By its self its very low yield, spin her up i a centrifuge and you got weapons grade

Umm no. I loathe people who do a quick, dim witted reply for the easy points.

The thing is with Iraq, Bush and his entire administration are idiots. The military won the war while the Bush Administration nearly messed everything up.
