"Religion" was the wrong word to use... the rapper meant... "the faith."

So his point is pretty thin (the priest). Any credibility the Catholic Church had was lost a while ago when countless cover-ups were discovered. That and the grotesque amounts of money that the "Holy Catholic Church" makes is laughable...

I present the most evil dude on the planet:

That all being said I understand and appreciate the concept of "Jesus" but I don't believe in him or the Bible (which is obviously supposed to be taken as a metaphor[in my opinion anyway]).

This is my personal favorite, as a response to that poor poem.

However, whatever floats your boat.

Hoping,

The priesthood is holy. 1% were accused, how many are guilty and
what of the rest? Yes, some Bishops messed up but not all of them.

We are all sinners, we have a fallen nature I'll include you in my
prayers and a few others at ATS.

love,

Colbe

Message to Maria/Divine Mercy

Hear my urgent plea to pray for the souls of atheists

Monday, January 23rd, 2012 @ 03:20 pm

My dearly beloved daughter the world is about to change beyond recognition.

For My time is almost here now.

I urge all those believers in Me, their Divine Saviour and My Eternal Father to stop what you are doing and listen.

Whether or not you believe in these, My messages to the world for these times, hear now my urgent plea.

Pray, pray and pray with all the love you hold in your heart for Me, for the souls of atheists.
Many will die during The Warning.

Many will not get a chance to repent in time.

I urge you to offer up all your suffering and prayers for those souls so that I can save them from the fires of hell.

Pray for those who will not turn back to Me even when the truth is presented to them.

Pray also for those who will find the purgatory on earth, the penance which will be accepted by them with good heart to be very difficult.

Many will find it very painful.

Pray that they receive the strength they need to persevere.

Go children and do everything I have asked of you for there is little time left.

I love you. Remember there is nothing to fear if you love Me.

Just pray for those who reject Me now today and those will turn their backs on the truth.

Your beloved Saviour

Jesus Christ

I have to agree with you that I laugh at the grotesque amounts of money the Church makes. Although on rereading your post I get the impression that you're considering the amount grotesquely large. If that's correct, then I'm afraid I can only wonder where you information comes from. Try this:

In breaking down the 2010 figures, the Vatican statement said:

– The Holy See, which depends largely on investments for its annual income, had income of $355 million and expenses of $341 million. The number of Holy See employees in 2010 was 2,806, up slightly from 2009.

– Vatican City State had income of $370 million and expenses of nearly $340 million. The Vatican said a major factor in the surplus was a boom in visitors to the Vatican Museums, which occurred despite a general crisis in the tourism industry
Vatican 2010 budget The Vatican can be considered the Church headquarters, the City-State that runs it's own government, or both.

You're just talking about the Church which had income of $355 million, but be generous and throw in the city as well for a total income of $725 million.

For a comparison, look at this American city's recommended budget amount of $701 million 2010 City budget The City? Des Moines, Iowa.

And you think the Vatican's budget is grotesquely huge?? Please tell me you've changed your opinion.
