Damascus signed a new contract for the supply of 36 combat training aircraft Yak-130

The Yakovlev Yak-130 (NATO reporting name: Mitten) is a subsonic two-seat advanced jet trainer/light attack aircraft or lead-in fighter trainer (LIFT) developed by the Yakovlev design bureau.
It can also perform light-attack and reconnaissance duties, carrying a combat load of 3,000 kg.

"This contract with a very high degree of risk - the director of the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies Ruslan Pukhov .- Given the unstable political situation in Syria and the strong pressure from the United States is difficult to predict what will happen next.

So what`s going to happen next?

Tells me that all this stuff going on around the world is all 1 big act!. At the highest levels, all these different factions work together to achieve a common goal, the rest of it is just a show to keep us all busy. I have seenRussia taking the high ground recently in moralistic terms, they have fallen short on this 1 i.m.o.

All the world is a stage and the people in it are ALL actors fullstop.

I am sure i will get flamed, but it is all so clear and obvious i.m.h.o.

Those YAK-130's don't seem like much of a threat

Can they go against Israel's fighters ? How about NATO.

Can they carry a damaging payload ?

I would compare those things to those useless rockets from Gaza.

Looks like them Russian horse traders got the best of the deal

Reminds me of a fire sale !

Some MIG-35's would have been better than these pea-shooters.

Unless of course, they will be used for "suicide" missions

Here's some real power:
