Imtor, I think even Christians could agree that God is extra-terrestrial in the sense that we believe him when he speaks of being the Alpha and the
Omega, meaning outside of the constraints of our 3-D Earthbound existence. So yes, in that sense he is extra terrestrial in the root meaning of the
term, meaning outside of the earth.
But you have to understand, for us, he is not an ET in the sense of being a created being of an other worldly origin. We may have possible "sibling
creations" on other planets who would be the kind of ET you are thinking of, and while they may have great knowledge and can do all sorts of great
things with genetics and even create clones or life from scratch, they would not be OUR Creator. God is an incomprehensible being to us in our meat
suits. We know him through his intermediary human form, Jesus Christ, who in the sacrifice of the Eucharist offers himself up to us continually in
reconciliation. Even Protestants who do not observe the literal form of the Eucharist honor and remember Christ's sacrifice given to bring us back
from our fallen state to a reconciliation of God. And if you don't understand what I'm talking about, that is okay, I took most of my life to
understand and appreciate it myself. Seek, and you shall find, ask and it shall be answered to you by God via the Guidance of the Holy Spirit
himself. You don't need to understand what I, a mere inarticulate human am telling you. Ask in humble prayer and true sincere desire to know and God
himself will set in motion the events that will lead you to understand.
And that is also where God does not fit the mere Extra Terrestrial description. While I have posted that I wouldn't mind meeting Jesus in a nice
fancy return engagement, because that would be uber cool, the fact is I've already met him in prayer. And there is the other part of the trinity to
remember, the Holy Spirit, which is the guiding force of God himself that he sends to dwell in this humble human vessel. I am coming to appreciate
this gift of the Holy Spirit, which is why I'm cleaning up my act. Watching my language, watching how I treat others, watching how I take care of my
body, putting more thought into how I spend my time and being more selective about my entertainment.
A lot of unbelievers think we Christians only do these things because we are afraid of judgment and afraid of going to hell. But as you start to grow
in the Lord and understand his love and the great gifts we are receiving, the desire to transform your life becomes a natural process. We worship a
God who isn't sitting off in some spacecraft somewhere. We worship a God who dwells in us, his beloved and cherished creation for whom he sacrificed
his divine life and lived as one of us and died as one of us. He told us there is no greater love than we can have than to lay down our life for our
fellow man. He would know. He did just that. And all he asks is that we believe he did that and then transform our lives to be fit vessels for him
to dwell within on this earth.
I hope I made some sense, dinner isn't sitting too well on my stomach. I'd better get some cooking lessons or I'm going to give myself and God some
indigestion. I'm very sorry also for the typos. I can see them in preview mode but can't scroll up on this device to fix them. I hope they aren't
too distracting.
