Supposedly he prophesied the follwoing in his "Last Will and Testament." from

If the will and testament are authentic, then Rasputin really was on to something:
•“I will die before 1 January…” He was killed Dec 30, 1916.
•“if I am murdered by the boyars and noblemen…” He was killed by two relatives of the royal family.
•“at the end of twenty five years, not one nobleman will be left in Russia” Not sure on this one, but most of the royalty was either executed by the new regime, or fled Russia.
•“Brother will kill brother, everyone will kill each other and hate each other” The Communist revolution was a bloodbath. Even after the revolution ended, the regime of fear created by Stalin continued the blood and hatred.
•“none of Your Family, none of Your children and Relatives will live more than two years” The Romanov family was executed July 16th, 1918. His other family members will also executed. (Not all died in the course of 2 years. One of his Rasputin’s murderers died in 1967, another died in 1942 of tuberculosis, a third in 1920.)
•“disgrace and shame of the Russian Land” depends upon ones point of view
• “arrival of the antichrist” Lenin or Stalin, take your pick.
•“destruction of the Russian people” they survived didn’t they?
•“destruction of the…Orthodox faith” It was certainly hampered a bit under Communism, wasn’t it?
•“poverty, pestilence” There were years of hunger and poverty following the years of revolution.
•“desecrated temples of God” Stalin destroyed many, many Russian Orthodox churches and they were used as graineries, barns, etc.

First let me congratulate you to have opened this thread that indeed refers to the life and the legacy of a great man, somebody that deserve to be remembered in better way for the future generations.
It is time to remove from the public opinion all the distortion of the facts and also the terrible discredit that the British spionage did against the father Grigory Efimovich Rasputin along the years of the WWI, until to promote the plot that ended with his martyrdom.
There is too much lies, too much exagerations and also grave false attacks that received a tremendous echo in the western media about the real character of one of the most enigmatic mystics of all the times as it was Rasputin, a person that was in many aspects a trully Holyman, although not perfect as any human being.
The black legend created in a so irresponsible way by the media, by various very dared and why not to say, incredibly biased films that supposedly tried to portray the real personality of this seer, that surprised and mesmerized the Russian court for the most important years of the Nicholas II rule, but that in fact destroyed totally his actual charater, even the children have been exposed to this terrible political propaganda until our days in movies like the famous Anastasia cartoon of Walt Disney.
I had the fortune since child to listen the true stories, the comments from some of the real witnesses that knew very closely Father Grigory since his early years in Western Siberia as well as the members of the high Orthodox Hierarchy of that time that introduced him into the St Petersburg high spheres of power. I have reserved for long time my right to talk about this figure openly but I think your thread is a great opportunity to do so.
Rasputin was neither a mad monk or an evil or satanic sorcerer, as it was roughly depicted by the British secret service just because they didn't like the sincere and pure friendship he had with her Royal Highness Alexandra, Tsarina of all the Russias. The only real reason for which they wanted to destroy for ever the memory of Rasputin was because Alex was a German princess before to marriage Nicky and that was all the problem.
With Father Grigory as an advisor and protege of the Tsarina, he made her extremly powerful and lnfluent in all the State decissions, and that was what made paranoic the British goverment that considered that Alexandra could be doing a double game trying to protect the German interests in the conflict.
