And i do beleive that if America hadnt turned into and Military industrial complex trying to force its democracy on the world then we would have progressed lots, both technologically and spiritually

That's one issue that bothers me, too (well, that and his economic policy which is 18th century and won't work in today's economy.) I had friends who published newsletters, and friends who were editors for newsletters and APAs. There was a person who read through things submitted (and for a newsletter, it was the layout person as well as the editor) and approved it.

So either he's just figureheading newsletters and doesn't care what's in them or the newsletter reflects his views or he's appealing to a market segment for financial reasons (so they buy his newsletter.) Given his refusal to sign a bill honoring the 40th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act and his statement that the act caused harm to employers (possibly by making it possible for Blacks to sue to be hired by companies and government agencies and to have salaries equal to their White couterparts (one of my friends was a Black fire chief who successfully fought for a position thanks to the Civil Rights Act (his test score was the highest of his class, but he was passed over for a command position while others with much lower scores who were White were given command positions.))) And while he talks about minorities getting the death penalty more often than wealthy Whites, I see no evidence that he has actually done anything about it other than mention it on talk shows.

OP has alot of the facts wrong here.

Ron Paul has tried to educate people as to why the 9/11 attack came about. If more people understood the origins of those that attacked us, and who had backed them a few decades ago, they wouldn't be so surprised.

When you look at how war mongering as a nation we have become, as our rights are being eroded away along with the domestic suffering in terms of employment, health, and corruption...

I think that his foreign policy is great. The middle east is no danger to us. The only reason the others are backing Israel is because it gets the Christian vote. He would save us billions upon billions ending the wars and cutting the aid we send to these countries. Do you have any idea how many billions we send to these countries that we are at odds with? And billions to Israel who defied us and can take care of themselves. When they started making nukes then they no longer needed our help. They have plenty of military.

Santorum is a man who claims to be Pro Life. He claims that all abortion is wrong, including in cases of rape and incest. He believes Doctors who perform abortions should be charged with a crime. Rick Santorum has been very clear in saying, ALL abortions are wrong, no exceptions.

Yet in 1997 Rick Santorum admitted that he and his wife planned on having a partial birth abortion for his then pregnant and dying wife. Fortunately, they did not have to have the procedure. Nature took care of the issue for them and she gave birth to a boy at 20 weeks into her pregnancy who then died 2 hours later.

So when it was Rick Santorum's wife who was facing death, abortion was an option, yet he wants to make it illegal for everyone else.

You claim that if we're true united statesians and enjoy our freedoms we shouldn't vote for Ronald Paul. Yet, we currently have the patriot act, national defence authority act, expatriate act, and I'm stuck in an economic slavery cycle. Some freedom that is. I doubt this current setup of government resembles any shred of the constitution and declaration of independence. Much less, does this government have the common man's interest as top priority. Of course, they pretend they do. I still don't get why it would bother anyone seeing Israel get liberated. Lol, liberated ... I also don't get how people are so fearful of a war breaking out between countries that has nothing to do with theirs. Oh, what about if they use nukes?! Lol, there's plenty of radioactive waste being dumped in various places around the country from nuclear plants. Why is the only thing people usually don't like about Ronald Paul his foreign policy? It's weird how all of this Ron Paul stuff just keeps coming up over and over again, people wondering about his newsletters and their "issues" with him, despite the fact pretty much every one of them has been resolved right here on ATS and on many other different forums. A lot of questions and comments people keep having are already answered, if they even care about the reality of the situation.

The same few people keep popping up in Ron Paul related threads and keep bringing up the same mostly outright false or cleverly worded arguments, even though its been thoroughly covered in specific threads related to all these "issues".
