Tired of the Ron Paul bandwagon????

No, I wish I could drive the thing....right over this thread.

Santorum seems like the best pick? LOL Yeah, if you like Theocracy and Biblical Law (similar to Sharia). If you want a man who CLEARLY has emotional problems and a complete yearning for power. If you cannot see the man is disturbed on a social level, you ARE disturbed. The man would have us in WW3 before the sheets in the White House bedroom were wrinkled.

Gingrich? Smart? Well he's a good 'historian' that happens to believe that Palestinians are 'invented'. But yet won't speak about the TRUE "invented" Nation of Israel...which was created by a Resolution, out of thin air. Gingrich who would also have us in WW3 in no time flat. Who would also cater to Corporations, the MILITARISM of America, and rule with an Iron fist.

The OP believes we're supposed to police the world forever and ever with empty pockets and a whole lot of suitcases of Monopoly Money....fer Jayzus.

Maybe the OP thinks we should become the world exporter of war till all nations back down from fear. Because our world 'domination' has worked out oh so well thus far??

And the OP is sadly under a delusional spell that 9/11 was a bunch of Arabs with BOXCUTTERS. Sorry, but I break with Ron Paul about "blowback".

Dominick Suter, Urban Moving Systems, PNAC, BUILDING 7, Flight 93 debris field, Norman Pinetta, CIA pilot Training, Omission omission lie lie lie lie, NTSB data, the Pentagon and April Gallup, dancing Israelis, etc. lie lie omit omit Washington Bridge Police Scanner 911 chatter squawk squawk.

OP has been DUPED into the "War on Terror" fraud. And the OP wants more war with ghosts.

OP has been DUPED about IRAN and it's "nooooks", just like I bet the OP was most likely DUPED about Iraq and mushroom clouds or "IMMINENT THREAT".

OP DOES not and CAN not fathom a Non Interventionist policy because the OP has been so manipulated by that shiny box which parades shiny people with shiny smiles telling us it's all about "Duh Muzlims", our enemies, "Go Team America", and all other nonsense the shiny box spouts.

We're outta money. Aint no more money. The American Empire is unsustainable....period. You're living in a dream world that this fiasco can continue and America can remain this shining Ivory Tower. Well I got news for ya, that dream is a delusion and you can kiss it goodbye.

The debt is stacked a mile high and it's about to get worse. We have NOTHING left but raising on a busted flush.

Wake up, snap out of it and vote for the only guy willing to address the chaos....Ron Paul.

If you wanna war with people you deem 'enemies'. Hitch a ride down to a local recruiting office and sign up, grab your rifle, parachute, and your boots and tooth brush and BON VOYAGEEE buddy.

This American aint gonna miss ya.

Yes, and added 30K troops to Afghanistan IIRC, right?
And also notice the disappearance of code pink and the like besides that.
Which just goes to show it's not "warmongering" as long as it's "our guy" doing it.
Which should go to show you just how messed up our allegiances are to the left/right crowd, even when it defies common sense and our own sense of right/wrong.

I can't believe I read all that tripe.

Anyhow, for those that want a summery:

Vote for Gingrich, or the terrorists win.

Yep, nothing like old school rhetoric.

Hello ATS,

. We absolutely can't afford to have a weak president, unacceptable. The Socialists and Democrats want Ron Paul because he is easy to be manipulated, as long as everything falls in under his ideals, it'll be passed. But his foreign policy is ridiculous.

Im gonna end my adventure in this thread with this.

RP the one who is a veteran and fought for the country, the one strong enough to avoid the temptations of cheating on his wife it seems, the one that never flip flops and is strong enough to stand in his beliefs, the one who did not accept money from Frannie Mae would be a weak president?

But Gingrich the one who never served and is weak to the temptations of flesh and greed is strong?

What a upside down world, im literally shaking my head everyday thinking im in a bad episode of the Twilight Zone..

Because your ignorant and not willing to entertain a different point of view, sounds almost Hitler'ish if you ask me. The poster put his feelings and thoughts into words whether you agree with him or not, and I believe if you think about what he pointed out he makes some very good points.

If you think one candidate is the savor you are no different than the Obama fainters of 2008...RP is not perfect nor the savor...blind obedience huh...shills...

Yes RP shills...

Marine Sniper...

Comparing ATS members support of RP to Hitler? Come'on friend, let's not go there.

I think I speak for most ATS members that we respect others opinions, in fact, it helps clarify, change, or reinforce our beliefs, and in fact, in most cases, these threads that attempt to take RP down a peg, simply paint RP in a POSITIVE light.

RP is not perfect, in fact, you will be hard pressed to find a supporter who will state he is the "savior" or something wacky like that. We don't have blind obedience to him, as he is not the type of leader that requests or orders it. RP is the type of intellectual who lets people make up their own minds.

And friend, he would probably do more positive things for the military in terms of benefits and support and pay than any president to date. At least he's served, and doesn't deem military men and womens lives as expendable and carelessly thrown away in endless, senseless, goal-less wars.

You make some excellent points. I will say straight out that I disagree with your over-all view, that Ron Paul is not the guy, but you presented a passionate argument with a respectful Man's style, and THAT deserves a HUGE round of applause from Bob. (That's me) Would it be a wildly off base assumption to ask if you vote Republican most of the time? If that isn't the case, then you are a top-notch fake, and IF that is it, again, applause. Anyhoo, try looking at it this way. In my mind, Ron Paul has developed his foriegn policy views on the basis of what he has seen in his time in Congress. Right off the bat, a little respect for the tradition of the office itself is something that all Americans lack today, by and large, but I do believe that Ron Paul came to office a while back ,with that respect in tow. It is also a given that he has full view of what we call "behind the scenes". Alot on this site imagine this zone as a mystical place, but I bet it's more like watching two crackheads scratch and claw over a hunk of thrown away hamburger, just compensate for clothing and scale. So, upon hearing one "ally"after another bad-mouth the USA a few times to many, I bet that in his mind, he has ALWAYS thought "F... YOU". The natural reaction would be to let EVERYBODY "friend" and "foe" alike TWIST IN THE WIND. What noone is saying out loud is how having our military around the world WAS used to secure cheap resources ,in exchange for the US to protect their sorry butts. If WE are so horrible, and the cheap resources are done anyway, why not just bail? What's in it for US?????? Watch how they do then. The whole world will be eating out of our hand, and allowing US to TURN A PROFIT in having a military base NOT at HOME. South Korea can pony up to survive. Why NOT? People buy useless crap all the time "because they are worth it". Hey !Survival for sale! Now available for the low cost of PAYING OFF ;OR OUTRITE WRITING OFF OUR DEBT!!!! Think about it.

So other countries and their peoples and their governments started hating us for no reason? It didn't start when US companies opened up sweatshops in foreign lands, or when US bombs started falling on their doorsteps, when it was US going to THEM with tanks and jets and bullets?

The US has already lost any respect it ever had.

even more so. why don't you read the damn wiki page about it. we CREATED this monster. who knows what kind of country iran would have become if we didn't INSTALL an authoritarian government for our own interests.

The 1953 Iranian coup d'état (known in Iran as the 28 Mordad coup[3]) was the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh on 19 August 1953, orchestrated by the intelligence agencies of the United Kingdom and the United States under the name TPAJAX Project.[4] The coup saw the transition of Mohammad-Rezā Shāh Pahlavi from a constitutional monarch to an authoritarian one who relied heavily on United States support to hold on to power until his own overthrow in February 1979.[5]

In 1951, Iran's oil industry was nationalized with near-unanimous support of Iran's parliament in a bill introduced by Mossadegh who led the nationalist parliamentarian faction. Iran's oil had been controlled by the British-owned Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (AIOC).
...
On 19 August, a pro-Shah mob, paid by the CIA, marched on Mosaddegh's residence.[13] According to the CIA's declassified documents and records, some of the most feared mobsters in Tehran were hired by the CIA to stage pro-Shah riots on 19 August. Other CIA-paid men were brought into Tehran in buses and trucks, and took over the streets of the city.[14] 800 people were killed during and as a direct result of the conflict.[2] Mosaddegh was arrested, tried and convicted of treason by the Shah's military court. On 21 December 1953, he was sentenced to three years in jail, then placed under house arrest for the remainder of his life.[15][16][17] Mosaddegh's supporters were rounded up, imprisoned, tortured or executed.

After the coup, Pahlavi ruled as an authoritarian monarch for the next 26 years, until he was overthrown in a popular revolt in 1979.[18] The tangible benefits the United States reaped from overthrowing Iran's elected government included a share of Iran's oil wealth[19] as well as resolute prevention of the slim possibility that the Iranian government might align itself with the Soviet Union, although the latter motivation produces controversy among historians. Washington continually supplied arms to the unpopular Shah, and the CIA-trained SAVAK, his repressive secret police force. The coup is widely believed to have significantly contributed to anti-American sentiment in Iran and the Middle East. The 1979 Iranian Revolution deposed the Shah and replaced the pro-Western royal dictatorship with the largely anti-Western Islamic Republic of Iran.[20]

so, the moral of the story, don't nationalize oil and take money away from the western establishment. or, we'll come in and destroy your government and install one that works for our profit.
right, they hate us for our freedom.

GOODNIGHT liberals....take care...

Ah, I love how fake conservatives - neo-cons - parade around calling real conservatives, liberals. What can be more conservative and less liberal than insisting the Constitution be followed. This is a legal no brainer IMO

then there is the whole "label" thing. I decide what I believe on each issue all by myself. I subscribe to some conservative, liberal, and libertarian ideas. The idea that you are a conservative so FOX News gets to tell you how to think right down the line, or that you are a libertarian so you must believe in the Milton Friedman blather about free markets... Well, it is not only a tool to keep people separated, but I trust no one on this planet to tell me how I should think. For me it's "just the facts, ma'am!

So you can goose step around the Crawford ranch or down Pennsylvania Avenue, but don't expect respect here for towing the conservative line unquestioningly as it is dictated to you.

You can't watch T.V. for news and remain informed, you will only remain "lied to". T.V. news is officially extinct, and it has been for many years now.

Vote for Gingrich, or the terrorists win.

The only terrorist we need to worry about are the ones in Washington. They have been terrorizing the planet since WWII. BTW Gingrich is one of them.

Oh lookout, there is a terrorist behind you, and one under the staircase, and one out in your backyard digging a hole to hide in.

Oh pleeeeease. Don't expect thinking people to buy into your paranoia.

I find it funny that everyone is all broken up over the 3,000 plus dead from 9/11 but almost no one is talking about all the first responders that have died or are dying from this event. And no one gets upset about the 1,500 drowned in the streets during Katrina. Oh, that's right they were black and poor. The White House knew the levees were breaking for a day an a half and told no one. Now that's terrorism!
