Troll Hunter, I thought it was awesome.

Have you seen it?
Norwegian movie in the style of the Blair Witch (handheld camera's), but you actually see whats happening along with the characters.

I watch the subtitle version and I thinks thats the best way, with the dubbed version you may get humour were there shouldn't be.

The actual Troll Hunter man is one of the coolest guy's on screen for quite some time, he say's he hates his job but deep down it seems he really enjoys it.

I know this isn't really great advertisment for the film, but it's definatly worth seeing.

This was a movie I was extremely excited to watch. I enjoy foreign films, I enjoy 'indie' films. And I've read many great reviews online as well as gotten good reviews from friends.

That said...Eh, just didn't impress me. I don't think it's a bad movie, just wasn't for me.

cracking fairplay, really liked the idea of a secret government coverup of the trolls aswell :-)

Troll Hunter sat on Netflix patiently awaiting my click. It knew it was coming. It knew it was going to be more "B" than I would ever imagine. And it was. Great movie and surprisingly good CG. I'm Swedish and my fiance is Norwegian, so this was a really fun movie for us to watch. seeing this post... I had to respond.

And it's perfect for a thread on ATS. S&F!

I watched that movie with my brother and his friend and we all thought it was awesome! That last rabid troll was too epic.

My brother asked if anyone knows if there really is the "electric fence" of high voltage power lines.

Um, yes, it's only recently come to DVD in UK.
I rarely go to the cinema/theatre I would rather spend a fiver less and own the movie indefinatly.

You say something about a metaphor in here, care to elaborate?

Been wanting to see it since it was first reviewed months ago.

It's now out on dvd though so may grab it.

A Hollywood remake might already be in the works as is usually the way.

I actually have this in my Netflix queue, but haven't seen it yet. I'll definitely check it out.
