The one day I decided not to look at ATS, and this crazy storm happens last night. Scared the crap out of me when it first started hitting, then just kind of frightened me as it continued nonstop.

When that first one hit, my entire house was shaking like it was in an earthquake and I swear that is the loudest thunder I have ever heard in my entire life so far.

It only lasted here for about 10 minutes though, the thunder. I'm in the southern tip of Ohio. Froze my butt off the day before, but not today!

Thanks for the heads up OP

Its been very quiet here south of KC but we actually got some violent random storms showing up last night even though were outside the colored areas. Cant remember the last time I saw lightning.. Probably 4-5 months.

Hey, Thanks so much for the post. I will be flying tomorrow and the weather is always a concern on fly days. This is close to me and my destination, but doesn't look to be a problem unless this system moves west, and then one word comes to my mind: DELAY

Here in N. Indiana we had a good lightening
storm - lasted about 40 minutes.

I feel bad for those in Alabama, may they
find peace.

Didn't have too much here in the way of wind or rain, the top edge of the storm hit barely south of us. Bad lightning off in the distance, blew out the power supply on my computer and destroyed my friends tv. Power flickered, but stayed on. Some sleet and ice.

Does not look good... When the weather is out of control then so will we be. Since we cannot control the weather we are subject to its wrath. Prepare for wild weather.
