From BBC Europe

"Police in Scotland are investigating the murder of a Donegal man outside his home in Glasgow last weekend.
"Det Ch Insp David Gailey said: "Mr McKeeney suffered massive injuries to his head and body in what can only be described as a brutal and sustained attack.
"The two men being sought by police are described as being of Asian appearance."
www.bbc.co.uk...

From HeraldScotland

"William McKeeney, 57, was targeted while returning home after buying fish and chips at the end of a night out, and detectives are searching for two Asian men in connection with his death.
It is believed Strathclyde Police have not ruled out a racist motive for the attack in Glasgow's south side at around 12.40am yesterday.
Neighbours last night suggested the victim, from Melville Street, Pollokshields, had previously encountered trouble with a group of young Asian men who had slashed the tyres of his car.
Detective Chief Inspector David Gailey, of Strathclyde Police, said Mr McKeeney had been socialising locally in the hours before his death.
He added: "At the moment it would appear that it was a completely unprovoked and violent attack. I do not know at this time if he met the two men responsible on his way home or close to his house."
Shocked local people paid tribute to Mr McKeeney, who was described as a "lovely guy"."

Once again a race murder occurs in the UK. However this time it is a white killed by Asians. It is noted that the reporting in the media of this crime is vastly inferior to that of Asians/Blacks murdered by whites.

The most recent race murder of an Asian led to the highly publicised events of the English police flying out to India and David Cameron meeting the deceased`s parents.

I dont think that the Prime Minister will be seen to be visiting the relatives of the deceased in this case.

The annual murder rates in glasgow are often higher than the rest of the uk combined so this is hardly a surprise imo.

If this happened in southern England then it would be big news but Glasgow in Scotland is not the priorty of the (celebrity gossip obsessed ) London press

Were the "asian" men muslim by any chance?

Could just be another jihad attack by the religion of peace.

What does Asian mean? Asia is a very big place. Actually more than half of the world's population are Asians. Is it really fair to label the suspects as Asian? Maybe mentioning their nationality is better.

I'm sick of all this "race murder" and racial crimes or whatever

Makes no sense and just perpetuates the notion that we are different, even in the eyes of law.

Yeah I thought that too.

Have yet to hear of the Police looking for a caucasian person, that being the only description...

It looks like there is something more to it, I don't remember any case of people randomly slashing the tyres of the cars on the street.

From what I have seen from the British media, I think "Asian" usually means from Pakistan or India.

Isn't that a bit weird? Indians and Pakistanis are not even "Asian" .. they area sub ethnicity of Caucasian and Arab. "Asian" in the rest of the World typically would mean anyone from Central Asia, China, Eastern Russia, SE Asia and Pacific Islanders. I've never once heard an Indian say they are Asian .. they are Indian .. more Caucasian than anything else.

When used by the UK media "Asian" is a way of saying "Muslim" without being seen to us the word "Muslim". Crazy MIS-use of the language but it appears to be the norm in the media just now

It is noted that the reporting in the media of this crime is vastly inferior to that of Asians/Blacks murdered by whites.

Or maybe its because people have been arrested and are facing trial:

In English law, the term was correctly used to describe material which would prejudice court proceedings by publication before 1981. Sub judice is now irrelevant to journalists because of the introduction of the Contempt of Court Act 1981. Under Section 2 of the Act, a substantial risk of serious prejudice can only be created by a media report In English law, the term was correctly used to describe material which would prejudice court proceedings by publication before 1981. Under Section 2 of the Act, a substantial risk of serious prejudice can only be created by a media report when proceedings are active. Proceedings become active when there's an arrest, oral charge, issue of a warrant, or a summons..

Me too - all this nonsense about 'hate crimes'.
Is it more acceptable then to batter an 80 year old grannie to death than it is to attack someone because you don't like their culture/religion/colour?
A crime is a crime is a crime.

That is an outrageous falsehood and slander against that city. "The rest of the UK combined" ???? What a lie.

I suggest you visit that city more, I have on many occasions and the Glasgow people are amongst the friendliest I've ever met, they are so warm and welcoming.
