From BBC Europe

"Police in Scotland are investigating the murder of a Donegal man outside his home in Glasgow last weekend.
"Det Ch Insp David Gailey said: "Mr McKeeney suffered massive injuries to his head and body in what can only be described as a brutal and sustained attack.
"The two men being sought by police are described as being of Asian appearance."

From HeraldScotland

"William McKeeney, 57, was targeted while returning home after buying fish and chips at the end of a night out, and detectives are searching for two Asian men in connection with his death.
It is believed Strathclyde Police have not ruled out a racist motive for the attack in Glasgow's south side at around 12.40am yesterday.
Neighbours last night suggested the victim, from Melville Street, Pollokshields, had previously encountered trouble with a group of young Asian men who had slashed the tyres of his car.
Detective Chief Inspector David Gailey, of Strathclyde Police, said Mr McKeeney had been socialising locally in the hours before his death.
He added: "At the moment it would appear that it was a completely unprovoked and violent attack. I do not know at this time if he met the two men responsible on his way home or close to his house."
Shocked local people paid tribute to Mr McKeeney, who was described as a "lovely guy"."

Once again a race murder occurs in the UK. However this time it is a white killed by Asians. It is noted that the reporting in the media of this crime is vastly inferior to that of Asians/Blacks murdered by whites.

The most recent race murder of an Asian led to the highly publicised events of the English police flying out to India and David Cameron meeting the deceased`s parents.

I dont think that the Prime Minister will be seen to be visiting the relatives of the deceased in this case.

Yeah I thought that too.

Have yet to hear of the Police looking for a caucasian person, that being the only description...

From what I have seen from the British media, I think "Asian" usually means from Pakistan or India.

Isn't that a bit weird? Indians and Pakistanis are not even "Asian" .. they area sub ethnicity of Caucasian and Arab. "Asian" in the rest of the World typically would mean anyone from Central Asia, China, Eastern Russia, SE Asia and Pacific Islanders. I've never once heard an Indian say they are Asian .. they are Indian .. more Caucasian than anything else.

When used by the UK media "Asian" is a way of saying "Muslim" without being seen to us the word "Muslim". Crazy MIS-use of the language but it appears to be the norm in the media just now
