In 1964, french avant-garde artist Pierre Brassau took the swedish art world by storm when he displayed 4 paintings at an art show in Goteburg, Sweden.

One critic, Rolf Anderberg, was so impressed that he gave the following review in the morning paper, Posten:

"Brassau paints with powerful strokes, but also with clear determination. His brush strokes twist with furious fastidiousness. Pierre is an artist who performs with the delicacy of a ballet dancer."

Here is one of Brassau's paintings:

What no one failed to realize, except one critic, was that Brassau was a 4 year old chimp named Peter who lived at the Boras zoo in sweden.

Ah Ha Ha!

I never heard of this artist before...

And upon seeing the painting...

I said to myself...

That looks like the artistic endeavors of a child...

Then I realized Pierre Brassau was a chimp...

I was actually quite relieved...

If an adult painted that... disgrace

I love the arts, I am a fine supporter of such things...

But grown men and women who paint like that and call it "ART"
is a disgrace to the meaning...

BUT... a 4 year old Chimp who can do so...

I find that quite remarkable...

and in fact... I call it ART!!
