Well here goes at my first ever posted comment on this site, but better late than never hey ?
As an Australian, I get a point of view of from the outside [or down under] looking in. Maybe this gives me another viewing angle, or maybe it means I'm unqualified to comment on someone else's country, or the running of that country ??? But from the outside looking in, it does come across that America, and by America i refer to the Government in charge, that there is an obvious agenda of going to War with anyone that doesn't see it the same way as the American Government see's it. e.g. Afghanistan, Iraq [part 1 and 2], Syria, Somalia, Libiya etc. And that's not to say Australian troops haven't taken part in those wars/invasions, but due to our smaller population it's probably not on the same scale, and despite being under the Commonwealth, we tend to follow the American way, rather than our own way, or that of the Commonwealth, largely due to own Government selling the Australian people out so our Politicians can line their own pockets so they can brown-nose their American counter-parts. Just look at the drool running down Julia Gillard's chin when Barrack Obama came here just 2 months ago for proof of this.
I personally have nothing against the American people in general, as they are a result of the same corrupt system we here in Australia have been dumbed down to believe................so-called Democracy ! But I do have a HUGE problem with the American Governemnt and political system, as well as the Australian one. Its heartening to see so many people slowly waking up to what's happening, and whether you do or don't agree with all the Occupy movements, you can't deny that something is really wrong with the "system", and people who can see it have obviously had enough. But for every person thats had enough and wants to do something about it, there's another person who's willing to sign up and go and fight these Wars, which I believe, is why there may be a percieved hatred to American people and possibly there allie's ! And i guess it compares to saying you oppose the Zionist agenda in Israel, but then get accused of being anti-semitic, despite not being against Israeli people in general, just the agenda of their leaders. I think its just, that so many people around the world see so many people lining up to fight these wars, purely to fill the American Government agenda of wars at all cost, or any cost, and take the easy approach of labelling all under one banner. But that probably reflects what the American Government, and Austalian Government have deemed as a Democracy...............both sides can have their say and argue about it, but we'll do what we want anyway while everyone argues and points the finger at the other side of the arguement, and takes their eye's of the prize so to speak.
It shouldn't be Anti-American, Anti-Iran, Anti-Israel, Anti-Islam, Anti-Christian etc, it should be Anti-CORRUPTION and the focus on those carrying out this corruption. I believe if people could do this, then we would all realise we are all in the same boat and focus or frustrations and anger at those making the decisions, rather then citizens of a country that have no rel say in the making, and enforcing of those decisions !
Well theres my first ever post done, i hope i've made some sense in all of this, or at least point lol ?
If i had made a mistake anywhere, or you disagree, then I welcome your response, and your right to have it. We just need to realize that we're all in the same boat, but we have Captains of the boat steering us in a direction we don't want to go.
Thanks, and as we often say in Australia.............have a good one

That was a great first post and I wish everyone expressed themselves in this manner. Great to have you aboard.

Thanks for answering my question longbottom and Slayer. I appreciate it.

This thread is not going to go over well. Perhaps, it should have been called the US vent thread or something? Anyway, I take all the criticism and let it go in one ear and out the other. Everyone is entitled to opinions, and no matter how off-the-wall they may be. Furthermore, the US government is no angel and has made mistakes. What nation is free of them? We are all human are we not? Some seem to point out that the US must be above reproach in everything it does? Yet other nations get a pass when they act the same way or worse? Principally, the US is indeed the most welcoming country in the world, the most tolerant, and most free. People from all corners of the world are still traveling there to live, work, and become citizens.

However, lately there has been a trend among legislators, the judiciary, and elected executives who do more meddling than preserving the traditions and ideals that has made the US great. That to me is more than troubling, but at least we can freely discuss such controversial topics. We can do so without fear of getting that midnight knock on the door or getting taken to a nondescript prison and marched to the nearest wall. I say let the hate game go on, and it is only a matter of opinion. Everyone has got them on this, that, and everything else. Just my two cents, and by all means continue hating to your heart's content . . .

I am here after accepting the terms and conditions of the website owners. I don't remember reading in the T&C a requirement to believe anything about Americans. But you sure can start a website of your own where you make it mandatory for everyone who wishes to join it, to believe whatever you want them to believe about Americans or anything else and I would be very happy not to be a part of it.

You'd be crying all over the place begging us back after the first hour. (and yeah, I'm talking about your electricity and your computer). For two. Think about it.

You mean Americans discovered and invented everything beginning from fire and wheel all by themselves and those that were first invented in the USA had absolutely no possibility of being invented by anyone else if the USA hadn't existed?

It is normal for someone to develop a deep hatred regarding a country/religion/whatever if that someone has experienced an extremely negative situation caused by the the group he/she hates.

Of course iraqis hate the American government. And palestinians, iranians, afghans... the list goes on. American foreign policy has targeted these countries in the worst ways possible (wars, coup d'etats, etc...), unprovoked for the most part. Not saying US gov is the only bad guy around, but it definitely is a VERY bad guy.

As for the anti-American movement in the western world... We are taught in school about how evil the III Reich was, how Mao Tse Tung starved millions to death, how much of a dictatorship was the Soviet Union. All true, thank God we study it that way so History does not repeat itself.
However, we're not taught that US also murdered millions in unjust and unprovoked wars, how profit, oil and geo-strategic influence were the real reasons for those wars, how many truly democratic governments were overthrown in the name of... "democracy".
So when people find out about these historical "details", obviously they feel cheated and lied to. Which indeed happens, we the westerners are constantly cheated and lied to (well, this is ATS, everyone knows about that: it's called indoctrination). And then we see the US constantly involved in wars and threatening new wars. So people put 2 and 2 together...

So don't feel all offended when someone is explicit about their anti-US gov political views. It has been, for a long time, the biggest and most serious threat to world peace.

All this national elitism makes me sick. We're all people right? Why do we even have separate borders anymore? Aren't we f***ing above this play ground bull pocky already? I thought we were supposed to be intelligent but instead of coming together as one species we all go for greed and egotism. The end goal of many peoples lives is to acquire wealth. How about acquiring peace, love and understanding before death? Where have all the sane people gone?

I support those who burn the flag for this reason: the flag is the symbol adopted by the government. It is a symbol of the U.S. government and a cheap tool that it uses to garner support using patriotism for all kinds of horrible things.

I love my country, but we don't have a real government anymore. The price of continued aid is that these countries have to do what we say even if it's not in their best political interests. Pakistan really did bend over backwards in a lot of cases. And as for them screwing us over by hiding Bin Laden, so what? The U.S. government does it to people all the time.

My bottom line is this: I love my country and my Constitution, thus I demand a government that stands by that. At this point, the U.S. government is corrupt to the point that it sells out the American citizen day in and day out to the highest bidder.

As for "if you don't like it then leave" remarks. My response is that if I could leave, I'd already be gone.

I have seen my share of America-haters on this site. I have tried to challenge many times. I happen to love American even in times of travail. I disagree with most of the leaders now, but they are fools and traitors.
To use the words of the late Guy Ballard, "America we love you and our love is great enough to hold you eternally victorious in the light".

and my favorite patriot song

I love the USA, I love our constitutional way of life. I love the American ideals of egalitarianism within the law; I just hate most other Americans who want nothing to do with those things.

From feminist's who throw a hissy fit if a bunch of spoiled rich frat boy's throw a stupid 8 man crew parade and use that as an excuse to make life further hell for the average American guy. All the while they sit back and hold 40+ people hate rallies calling for the enslavement, mass castration or murder of males with the full blessing of the College Deans.

I hate older men who pander to and enable these male hating bigots because these older guy's sniffing viagra pills want to bang an 18 year old chick.

I hate the all girls club mentality in our society. From the classroom to the office, us American guy's have to put up with rampant female supremacist chauvinism.

I hate the pervasive hatred of males in our society. I hate the fact that I am bombarded by psychological and emotional abuse day in and day out from smug liberals and conservatives because of the gender of my birth. Hell it is so pervasive most people don't even notice it anymore.

That is what I hate, that is what I want to see destroyed when I say "I can't wait for America to burn".

You are not the owner of the website and as such you don't define who or what is welcome here. If the site owner, American or not, which I don't know and don't care, doesn't tell me I am unwelcome here, I will stay as long as I please. It is between me and the site owners and their representatives. You have no locus standi in the matter.

If Americans can use what the rest of the world invented, why exactly should the rest of the world stop using what Americans invented.

Americas government is incredibly corrupt. The mainstream media is controlled, and people are brainwashed into supporting whatever agenda is being rolled out by the men behind the scenes controlling the puppet strings of the Ken Doll politicians.

Wall Street wrecks the economy, doesn't get held accountable, and gets trillions from the taxpayers. Then Obama appoints 11 people who work for Goldman Sachs to his Administration. Guess who one of his top campaign contributors was?

Now we're seeing the next line of crooked politicians being rolled out, and the banker puppet Romney who has the same campaign donors that the banker puppet Obama had during his last campaign is leading the polls.

We don't have anything backing our currency that's being inflated more and more every day with our debt slavery system, and the Federal Reserve continues to operate in total secrecy. The war on drugs continues, jailing hundreds of thousands of victimless criminals each year. The Constitution continues to be destroyed with things like the Patriot Act and NDAA which are used against the very people they're supposedly there to protect, and your average American is too stupid to turn off the football game to see what's happening.

People have a right to be pissed off at this point in history, especially at our corrupt government.

You seem to be one of those people who (mistakenly) believe that if we just surrender our national sovereignty to some utopian one world ideal( the UN) some great people at the top will make everybody step in line and be good little people and everyone would just be happy if we all did that....except, we are already mostly there and you didn't realize that's what is making us all so sick. There is nothing noble, happy, or secure in world Totalitarianism.
I'm so tired of this hippy ideal borne of radical communists.

I don't mind you ripping my government apart what so ever I hate my government. I'm saying the people who come here to trash us as a people. You can't deny it happens A LOT here.

You are a democracy, which means the government represents the people. Some of us don't care about what fantastic explanations you invent to claim your government is not representative of the people. Fewer and fewer by that BS anymore.
