Thanks for the response . Your thread is swamped right now so I didn't expect one.

By people and influence I meant of course our rulers of which none seem to be ligitimate leaders. Of course.
Don't you agree we seem to be going into socialism ? Sorry for posting without reading all the way thru but the rate this thread has chosen to fly, I would never ketch-up anyway. So I admit I'm wing'in it a bit here.
edit on 21-1-2012 by randyvs because: (no reason given)

No problem...

I have yet to post to ALL the responses, given to me,but im trying!!!!

More like fascism.

Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power. Benito Mussolini

General Motors,Fanny/Freddie...........

MHO,of course.......

No, my best friend is Australian and he laughs at the remarks of his own citizens too. He told me that Australians are uptight people that think American people are arrogant. He also states that they cannot take a joke when an American makes one about them. They see the world in a different light than us. We Americans are open and can laugh at ourselves and others, knowing it is all done in fun.

No north Korea cant do that.

But this is like a woman trying to justify the few smacks her man gives her now and then because well he does give me money, buy me things, he is a good man most of the time.

We know America has lots of good points but lets try to fix the bad points.

staticarium jfyi....

I learned how to use a knife way before I learned how to use a gun, and began studying martial arts at a very early age. The martial arts I study and constantly train on I have been practicing for over 30 years.

May I suggest the following....

Lynn Thompson's - Special Projects a division of cold steel.

www.lynncthompson.com...

I keep the newest catalog.

Did I fail to mention that he is a successful American businessman?

You would probably hate him too due to the nature of his American company, and you never even met him.

I would have no problem if a country invaded us to rid us of these criminals and traitors that have hijacked our country for thier own selfish ends.

That’s not going to happen!!

There are too many of us that won’t LET that happen…

According to Ammoland, more guns were purchased last year in the United States than than there are active duty military members in the world’s fourteen largest armies combined:
• Russian Federation 1,027,000
• North Korea 1,106,000
• South Korea 687,000
• Vietnam 455,000
• India 1,325,000
• China 2,285,000
• Iran 523,000
• United States 1,468,364
• Republic of China 290,000
• Brazil 327,710
• Pakistan 617,000
• Egypt 468,500
• Cuba 49,000
• Ukraine 129,925
• Above Total = 10,758,499

Japanese Fleet Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto was once quoted during World War II as saying, ”you cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.”

A WARNING to any country that might try:

Enemies of the people of the United States and our Constitution should take heed. We’ve got guns. Lots of them, so just back off.

Why change the subject?

Could you answer the question I asked about North Korea, and their freedom?

You compared the United States to them.

I countered the point with the freedoms we have in this country.

Thanks.....

Unfortunately, I don't believe it's that simple. I wish it was. I wish new leadership is all it would take to restore us, or make our generation the "greatest generation", as they say about WWII Vets. I would like nothing better than to have our generation be the ones to turn things around.

But think about it Slay, the "fabric" of the country has changed. The people too, have changed, I personally blame greed and materialistic aspirations as the main goal of many people. That, and the desire to success on video games. New leadership won't change that. The problems are too vast, and too complicated for it to change because of government intervention, or government leadership. It will have to come from within the people, and it's just not happening. Yet. I never say never. Some day, something will happen to really get people's attention. I'm thinking it will not be disaster because we don't deserve that, (what people do?) but something uplifting, and will make people want to become better. It won't be a President, or a Senate.

THANK YOU!!!!

As an Englishman to an American, believe me when I say, there's a major ripple effect of "our leaders' policies" on my society.

Indeed, many people just want as normal a life as possible free of the upset of financial anarchy and war-mongering, etc, etc....

If only!!!

Way to change the subject....K

I will bite,and play.

Yes MLK was assassinated. But his courage is what Americans will always remember, including those outside of America.

He was able to talk about things,he could NEVER say in North Korea. Its called freedom to do.

Now,as I asked before. Can you show me the FREEDOM to do this in North Korea?

You compared those country's,as equals.

Waiting................
