It's trending up, though. You guys ever use the site gasbuddy.com? It can show a nice heat-map of prices around the country and you can click through to your area.

Highest USA prices tend to be in California, Hawaii and remote parts of Alaska.

Yea, I live in the San Diego, California Area and our gas is around 3.80 on average.... If its this expensive now, whats the summer going to bring? The gas companies suck!

Today January 21 2012 in Northern South Carolina, Sunoco regular is at $3.26, I imagine premium will come in at about $3.45-55. However I use this particular Sunoco station because it sells 100% gasoline without ethenol. Also because I run it in a Mercedes SL sports car which has a need for higher octane. Though this SL (could run or regular) > or premium, prefering premium, some cars like late model Corvette's and other high performance 90's and 00's cars would only work well with the premium. If I buy in-state, it would be a dime a gallon more.

When I first got my license it was about 90cents a Litre 10yrs ago if I remember correctly.

Here in Belgium we pay € 1.688 / liter for Super 98, which is € 6.39 / gallon, $ 8.26 / gallon at current exchange rate. We work to make sure our car runs us to work the next day, amazing...

97.9 cents a liter here in Edmonton Alberta although it does like to fluctuate once in awhile. It was at 94 cents a couple weeks ago

3.59 $ is the cheapest around the romantic.willimantic area in connecticut. We have very high state taxes, this state is so expensive to live in. People are stuggling.

About 3.29 a gallon here in north western NJ which is nothing compared to what the European markets have been paying for the past few decades. You should use Gasbuddy to find cheap prices in your area. They also have mobile apps, check them out.

we pay around £1.30 a LITRE and some of you people are complaining ???

then there are the other car bills to pay on top of that,

then there are the other bills, £150.00 ($233) a year just so we can watch tv without going to court - and that does not include the price of cable or satellite channels

and people think we have it easy

Los Angeles county varies, but here in Pasadena it's about $3.75 - $4.27 per gallon. I'm upset too because I like to take my 1979 Trans Am out on the weekends and lately she just sits in the garage and collects dust

It's currently 3.66 up to around just over 3.75 a gallon here. (Bay Area CA.) There are a few pockets of lower prices the further out you get, but those are vanishing rapidly. This is according to Inside Bay Area. There are parts of the state where it's as low as 3.47, but nowhere within a reasonable distance from me.

I only use mass transit, though.

Hungary: 430-460 huf/litre, thats 1,8-1,95 usd/litre = 6,8-7,4 $/US gallon

Finland: 1.73 euros per liter which makes it 6.92 per gallon........making it double the price in the US....I really wish we had American prices at their highest here in Finland cause I drive 160klm to work everyday, round trip....kindda hard on my wallet....

well in New Zealand its $2.11 NZD per litre so...... let me do the maths on this one.
