There is a wee bit of a difference there,
I am no fan of the current U.S government and their ways,not by a long shot (this used to be different for me).But at least when the U.S is guilty of
abusing human rights they break laws and they try to do it in secret (e.g GTB) and do their best to cover it up. That does of course not make any of
it right but , it is against the law and does reduce such behaviour. In china such a attitude is not even necessary and they simply do the things
described in the op and much worse without restraint or shame and guilt. It is as far as the chinese government is concerned acceptable ,normal
even.12 Executions occur in china at minimum everyday for crimes committed that would not even land you 6 months in jail in the U.S,
