Speaking as a fascinated Brit, the battle for the Republican nomination is great entertainment. They're all totally unelectable! Santorum appears to think that gay people will destroy the Republic, Gingrich is a lying immoral slob, the Romney Unit has had its programming changed so many times that it's ridiculous and Ron Paul looks like a slimmer version of Father Jack Hackett from Father Ted. Is this group of muppets really the best that one of America's great political parties can put up for the Presidency?

The GOP needs a candidate who can give CNN & ABC a bloody nose.

Well, Newt has already done that.

ABC = despicable / John King is hiding under his desk.

----------
Newt has already won South Carolina and has momentum. Go Newt!

Sooooo. The only knock on Ron Paul is what/who he looks like?
Can you lower the bar their mate, or is that as low as you can go?

Well, he also seems to be a nut who doesn't have a problem with secession and who thinks that the 1964 Civil Rights Act was a bad thing.

Gingrich is the elephant in the room, figuratively and literally.

He actually seemed almost presidential in his confrontation with CNN and the host over a question beginning the most recent live debate.

Too bad, defeating Obama could prove virtually impossible for the republicans.

If Gingrich is the elephant, Ron Paul is the ass.

Really? I just saw a poll on Daily Kos that has Gingrich losing Texas to Obama, 45% to 47% respectively.

My my, what scepticism. The Daily Kos mention was based on a PPP poll. Here's the link: www.publicpolicypolling.com...

It points out by the way that Perry's poll numbers have even collapsed in Texas. Must suck to be him there.
By the way my reaction to the Drudge Report is the same as your reaction to Daily Kos -

I'm sorry, the party you are trying to reach is unavailable. To leave a call back number press 666, or wait and leave a message after the tone.

We are toast.

You have no idea, probably better that way.

So many Republicans I know say they like Newt. Of course they do. Newt is so perfect for the Republican party. He's got the Neocon thing going on, he's full of rage and hate, and he has explosive diarrhea all over family values while preaching the sanctity of marriage. Republicans sure do love their hypocrites. Preach family values, express rage and hate. Pretend to be a fan of Jesus, but endear yourself to all things opposite. Can't wait for that next false flag-- which Newt has already endorsed. So inspiring!
