The real issue about the SOPA bill is not how badly it is formulated and what the bill is (supposedly) about, but the fact that the SOPA bill even EXISTS.

I am just amazed because we can without a doubt say that the overwhelming majority of Americans plus all the bigger sites and corporates even OPPOSE the bill.

How comes that a "democracy" is able to create and then potentially impose a bill/law upon millions of people where it's clear that the majority of people do not want the bill and are strictly opposed to it?

This is what really baffles me.

I would expect such things to happen in China or North Korea - actually, shouldn't it be rather the OTHER way around that people create and formulate bills..and then the politican's job should be merely to confirm and put the PEOPLE'S decisions in lace - AND NOT the other way around, TO IMPOSE unwanted bills as if we would live in a dictatorship?

This bill shows who has power in this so called "democracy"...it's your dear Rupert Murdoch or and whoever other little handful of bigwigs who are supporting the bill - THEY have the power to come up with whatever fits THEM and a bill is made to satisfy the greed of Rupert Murdoch and whoever else is supporting this bill.

This is the actual issue here - how perverted this democracy his and that it is actually a shame to still call this a democracy.

USA: Country ruled by Ted Turner and Rupert Murdoch where $$$ can even create "custom made" bills and laws. What a joke this is.

Easy answer to that. The U.S. has a Senate and Congress that is bought and paid for.

Yes, they are all bought and paid for by the elite, so these bastards can control and wage war after war, and steal peoples money and property, without blinking...
