There are literally too many to post. No really.
Google "Fox News Lies" and "Fox News Lies about Obama"
shows up as you're typing the "L" in lies.
It is a category onto itself. As a matter of fact, there are categories & sub categories.
My fave is the list of the "10 biggest lies Fox news has told about Obama"
(that's a video in case you wanna watch)
Eh, you're not gonna watch.

Did you just prove my point ? Do you believe Fox lies about RP
but tells the truth about Obama? Come on GeorgiaGirl.
I've seen your posts, you are quite smart and informed.
& I know we are polar opposites politically, but are you saying
Fox has NEVER told lies about Obama or Pelosi ? But they have about Ron Paul ?
So, if they have told lies about RP, a fellow Rep., imagine crap they come up with for Obama.
It's a whole other level. Should I really compile and comeback ?

I don't think they "lie". I think they "spin". I think ALL news networks spin these days, in fact.

Here's an example of what I mean by "spin" that isn't a lie: Currently in SC, a pac is running an ad that says Santorum voted for a teapot museum. Knowing what I do about how bills are packed full of crap, I'm pretty sure Santorum voted for a bill that had some nonsense in it about a teapot museum. So is the ad a lie? NO. He was voting for the main bill, but technically he voted for a teapot museum.

Using that idea of spin vs. lies, I do know that Fox spins the news "their way." As a Ron Paul supporter, I have been frustrated about it.

But I personally have never heard an actual lie.

People go on and on about Fox telling lies (lots of people....constantly, here on ATS), but I have never personally seen anything on Fox that couldn't be considered spin or simple error (for example, I once heard them report a poll that had one thing on the screen, but the newscaster said something else. I felt like there was a mistake either on the teleprompter or on the screen. Not a lie, but a mistake. I know some people would go straight to "ha! they were telling a lie", but I know that ALL newscasts have errors from time to time.)

I really DO want some examples of outright lies before I will believe they are lying. Maybe I am just too much of an optimist...

I saw a video someone had posted about Obama and Fox, claiming it was a lie told by Fox. What was funny was that Obama was spinning one way, and Fox was spinning it another way. Actually, Obama was more untruthful in the clip than Fox was in their reporting of the clip. I actually analyzed it in an ATS thread, and explained why Fox was actually NOT lying in their clip...no one responded to my analysis, if I remember correctly.

O'Donnell may be somewhat honest, but he's a complete Obama water carrier and an admitted socialist. That's what I don't get about MSNBC: they have real true leftists as pundits and reporters, yet Obama IS NOT a lefitst. He lived his life that way before the presidency and campaigned that way, but he governs just like the rest of them: Fascist. Statist. Corporatist. Plutocratic. If Obama was a Republican, MSNBC would rail against EVERYTHING he's doing!

I mean it's not like the Airlines wouldn't fly the pooch in cargo, they do it all the time. But where would the Secret Service puppyguards sit? Plus our sweet little canine might have his junk fondled by one of those TSA proletariat. We can't have that now can we? After the $4,000,000.00 vacation...

Citations for this?? or is it just more right wing stuff that everybody knows is true?

It makes perfect sense if you think about it a bit. Ron Paul wins, Obama wins. At least that is what most people believe. If a person who believes that wants to help Obama, they do anything they can to get Ron Paul as the candidate opposing him.

I know that won't make me popular, but I think it is true.

Then why do the LATEST polls show Ron Paul doing better than Romney in a 1v1 with Obama?

Ron can take indies and dems from Obama and get new voters on board as well. Obama can't get republicans at all.

Romney can't beat Obama.

I am going to analyze the "Fox Lies" outlined on the site that you linked to: www.newscorpse.com...

First one: says Fox is telling a lie by saying Obama associated with Marxists in college.
Fact: This is a quote from Obama's own book, in his own words: "To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully," Obama wrote in his memoir, "Dreams From My Father." "The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists." So from Obama's own words, he was attracted to the Marxist professors. Sounds like Obama DID associate with Marxists in college to me. Not a lie.

Second one: about "Obama's Christmas Tree Tax." I actually first heard about this news story on my local radio station's news, not Fox. They called it a Christmas Tree Tax, too. Even ABC referred to it as a Christmas Tree Tax.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is going to delay implementation and revisit a proposed new 15 cent fee on fresh-cut Christmas trees, sources tell ABC News.
(from ABC news website abcnews.go.com...). Here's another take on the same story, from the Wall Street Journal:

The problem isn't so much a "tax" that would theoretically apply to the 17 million Christmas trees that will be sold this season. It's that the government would help to sell this yuletide staple at all—not to mention cotton, honey, softwood lumber, raspberries, peanuts, mangos and many others. This was merely another corporate welfare present wrapped with government ribbon.
online.wsj.com... I judge that one spin, not a lie.

Third one: The article criticizes this headline from Fox saying Obama wasn't doing well in Ohio ("Ugly for Obama in Ohio"), and says that the poll showed that Obama was outpolling the Republican candidates, so the article claims that headline was misleading. But when you look at the actual poll linked to the article, the poll says this:

President Barack Obama's job approval rating and re-elect numbers remain underwater among Ohio voters, who disapprove 51 - 43 percent and say 49 - 44 percent the president does not deserve a second term, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll finds.
That actually DOES support Fox's headline...so this one is definitely NOT a lie. www.quinnipiac.edu...

Fourth one: The headline says that stocks fell after Obama's speech. The article says this:

The implication, of course, is that Obama’s speech had something to do with the stocks tumbling. However, despite the deceptive headline, the article states that it is actually the “speculation congress won’t pass” the President’s proposals that contributed to the market decline.
So by the critical-of-Fox-article's own admission, the actal Fox article DID specify it is the "speculation congress won't pass" the proposal that caused the stocks to fall. Since this occurred AFTER an Obama speech, the headline is not a lie...simply spin. If anyone had read the Fox article that was being criticized, you would have seen that. Not a lie...spin.

Fifth one: I can't analyze that one, because I can't find the original NYT article they are talking about.

Sixth one: "Obama copies Palin, Plans Bus Tour". Also spin. He did a bus tour right after Sarah Palin did one. Doesn't sound like a lie, as we all remember that bus tour. I wonder if he would have done one at that time had Sarah Palin not just done one?

I could go on, but I've got to go.

Listen, this guy (in his "Fox lies" article) is guilty of doing the SAME thing Fox is doing with their headlines. He's spinning the news stories to make the sensational claim that Fox is lying. I can't find ONE SINGLE THING that Fox has said that is a lie, as he is claiming. All of these headlines he criticizes are sensational, yes, but when you read further, you get what they are saying, and it is never a lie...simply spin.

It reminds me of some newspaper article I saw posted on FB that said something along the lines of "Lawmakers Appalled at the size of Obama's Package." Definitely a play on words, and some people could misinterpret the headline...but it doesn't make it a lie.

SO....in summary...just because this dude has written an article saying Fox is lying, with examples, when you look at the examples, they don't appear to be lies but are simply spinning the information in their headlines.

It does not matter what I think. It only matters what that news network thinks. I believe that Obama supporters see Ron Paul as the least likely to defeat Obama and I don't think I'm wrong on that.

Yes and plenty of those 'Obama supporters' jumped ship to Ron Paul and the race is still going.

Watch what happens when it all comes down to a two man race between Romney and Paul. Ron will continue to gain strength in numbers and popularity.

This entire time Ron has been labeled as unelectable but time and time again, surveys and polls PROVES that Ron does better than or just as well as Romney when it comes to a race against Obama.

You used one circumstance of Lawrence O'Donnell to assume that MSNBC favors Ron Paul so he'll lose to Obama? Really? What about right after NH when the same man said on national television "take Ron Paul out, and Huntsman wins" AFTER the results? So Lawrence O'Donnell dismisses the Ron Paul victory in NH...if you were right, he would be celebrating Ron's great showing.

Fox news lies about Obama. Not just spins.

Proof is in the title of this one.
It reads: Fox news exec admits to lying about Obama.
Pretty clear cut I'd say.

not necessarily... you are partially right. But recently Ron Paul is in a statistical tie with Obama nationally if going head to head... same with Mitt Romney.... and everyone knows... even the GOP if mitt wins, Obama wins. The tines are slowly turning. We'll see where things land in the next few months, but the numbers are looking up for RP.

It was just a suggestion. You are reacting as a Paul supporter and misunderstanding my intent I think. I do think that is a common thought; in fact I know it is. You likely know it is also. I was not criticizing Paul or his supporters, but merely putting forth a thought.

I'm still undecided. There are things about each candidate that bother me. Since I'm registered undeclared what matters for me is on election day. I'm not a Partisan for either of the main Parties or any Party. I think that allows me to see things clearer, but of course being a completely flawed human I could easily be off-base on this.

Anywho, I'm neither for nor against Mr. Paul.

How is he doing in national Polls regarding Primary voters nationwide?

I kind of think he will do better than expected and will stick it out until the end, but loose the nomination. That is not a bad thing though. In that case he will have enough delegates to influence the Republican Platform. I half think that is his plan.

Anything is possible though. Given only the choice of Obama or Paul, I will vote for Paul even though I don't agree with his Foreign Policy. I'm not comfortable with Isolationists. Perhaps that was the right move when Paul was young, but the reality of the modern world seems to have passed him by. On most other things, I agree with him.

Not really overreacting, just using your own logic against you.

You are free to provide more examples of MSNBC or Lawrence O'Donnell praising Ron Paul with the motive for him to win because they 'know' Obama will beat him.

www.good.is...

Here's the exact quote, taped on a conservative cruise to the Mediterranean in 2009: "Last year, candidate Barack Obama stood on a sidewalk in Toledo, Ohio, and first let it slip to Joe the Plumber that he wanted to quote, 'spread the wealth around.' At that time, I have to admit, that I went on TV on Fox News and publicly engaged in what I guess was some rather mischievous speculation about whether Barack Obama really advocated socialism, a premise that privately I found rather far-fetched."

Did you even read that article? Mischievous speculation is not lying, admittedly its not what you would want in journalism. Even though he found it far fetched he went with it. If I heard someone say they wanted to spread the wealth around, I'd think socialist/communist, so its definitely not lying, spin it is.

OK, but I still think you are reacting because you are a Paul supporter. I cannot prove it anymore than you can prove I'm wrong. It was just a suggestion.

If you want to look at it honestly as to what might influence that idea, here are the recent polling numbers on a national level.

RCP Average

Romney - 33.1%
Gingrich - 18.3%
Santorum - 14.6%
Paul - 14.1%
Perry - 6.1%

Now if I'm looking at that and I'm a rabid Obama supporter, I might think that anything that benefits Ron Paul would help Obama. I of course could be wrong or right. Add to that it is unusual that anyone at that network would report anything beneficial to a Conservative and that is where my thought came from. This is ATS.

Do you think MSNBC has suddenly changed from the most Progressive of all news to Conservative? I don't.

This actually doesn't surprise me at all. MSNBC has came out in defense of Ron Paul on more than one occasion. One of those being by Lawrence, himself.

They like his social policies and foreign policy. It's his economic ideas they are afraid of but I genuinely think that most of the MSNBC folks would rather see Dr. Paul in the White House than any of the other GOP candidates. You'd be surprised by how many lefties are going to bat for him and many are on TV. And it's not because they want Obama to win. Romney will have zero chance against Obama so they'd be defending Mittens if that were their angle.

Now I'm confuse how is spinning not a lie and how is an uncorrected mistake not a lie. Actually I love this uncorrected mistake thing - through a lie out there - gets called down - oops it was a mistake our bad, doesn't get called and it is pitchforks and torches.
