I was just at Walmart, buying a bunch of stuff made in China and my check card transaction went through without any problems.

Just went to Wal-Mart to get a few last minute things for dinner.

They were only accepting cash. Luckily that's how I pay for things anyway.

But there were a lot of full shopping carts just left near the doors...assuming credit card users who had no cash.

Actually been there twice today. Took debit without issue both times. It was either fixed by 2 m.p. central time as I am in Missouri, or it was limited to certain stores.

It seems to be hit and miss as to who/where was affected.

Was at my Wal-Mart about 2 hours ago. Cash only, they said issues with satellite signal. Near Richmond Va.

Went to Safeway today and no cards were able to process. Debit or credit. Teller said that it was Global?

I'm assuming that she meant all Safeway outlets but then I seen this thread.

I called the nearest Walmart down the mountain from me...Dahlonega Ga. They said they just came back up a few minutes ago. Were down for a couple of hours. Told me, they were told it was phone line problems.
