You can view the Wikipedia pages anyway just by refreshing the page in your browser and then stopping it just before it has completely loaded.

It's only the main site, if you use Google to google Wikipedia articles or have a Wikipedia search plug-in in your Browser, you can still access everything. It's just slow as hell.

I think a lot of people use such search plug-ins, so i don't see how much it helps to just black out the main page and i also don't see much sense behind just doing it on the english-speaking site and not the others.
All in all, it's just another PR-Stunt i think.
And a very lame one, the Anti-Sopa ad they have here on ATS is so much better and more clever (because people actually freaked out or still do as all the topics it here show)

My blog (its about WoW, but still ) is also protesting against SOPA and PIPA bills.

Its small, with only hundreds of readers, but everyone, even a small fish like me must protest against this.
