When the hell are India going to select either Typhoon or Rafael?!?

Is it mean, tight arse penny pinching or real technical balance?

I would imagine that Indian procurement will try and screw the price down so the winner makes no profit on sales, they will pat each others back thinking they have saved millons not realising that they will be screwed for support to make the winner a FAIR profit.

Either that, or they have heaps of mathematicians trying to work out what exactly they will get from the deal.

Either build you own, or buy someone elses, and choose the best technology for India instead of scratching your backsides for some perceived pride in getting a lower price, its not the Pak Klong Talad, its the 21st century and you get what you pay for.

Are you willing to pick up the additional cost in just "picking one"? Thought not...

It's already been shown in other competitions that Dassault and the French government have a high asking price, and are unwilling to budge - however, as the Indians want a carrier capable aircraft as well, the Rafale is the only one really suited.

Dassault need the sale, as the Rafale has thus far failed on the export market, but they don't want to budge too far because it is an expensive aircraft.

India will pick one when everything is in place to do so.
