Not cool. However....
No heat on anything they gave him, so my question is why the hell didn't he at least attempt to fight back? Maybe my generation is a little farther
removed from today's kids than I thought, but when I grew up, if you didn't fight back, you pretty much asked for what you got.
And based on the cowardice exhibited by the attackers, I believe even the feeblest attempt to lash out with a little offense, would have ended this
So as much as I hate to, after actually watching the video, I have to agree with Dave on this. This kid got slapped around a bit, and only had to
endure it because he was willing to sit there and take it. Of course, it makes sense if he needed 19 other kids to jump these attackers. Looks like
a pretty run-of-the-mill school-yard tussle. The Asian kid is lucky some real thugs didn't decide to jump him. A "beat down" that you can get to
your feet and run away from, is not a beat down at all.
In the end, they all need to get in a lot of trouble. Which is very possible, as in many states kicking someone in the head while they're on the
ground is considered felony assault with a deadly weapon (or intent to kill in some places). All of these kids need to learn that they're not the
tough guys they think they are, and hopefully they'll learn it before they try this kind of thing with someone who's ready, willing and capable of
handling a situation like this a little more effectively than this asian kid. These kids are going to end up dead. They're the kind we read
about shot to death during the course of a home invasion or something.
