To the new minds on ATS who feel lost on what or who to believe.

It is tragic but the internet is full of two things. Porn and liars.

You will get misled from time to time in your search for the truth. Here are some things you must know.

First off, you must debate. A proper argument must be researched. There are many ways to do this but a search engine is your best bet. Sometimes you will lose a debate. As in anything else, take your loss and move on. You are now wiser for losing that debate. You as a human being must never forget that you are entitled to the truth. You just have to earn it first.


Second. Never subscribe fully to your belief. The minute that you do this then you have found only a truth. The truth isn't quite so easily obtained. Statistical probabilities are the way to go but always keep your mind open and keep listening.

Third. Both sides of every issue have liars. A site like this has more debunkers than you could find in any youtube comment board. It also has people that are nuttier than a squirrel turd. These people will never listen to what you have to say. You will pick up on these characters quite quickly. After this, it is best to avoid them. They will mix facts and fantasy as they go.

Fourth, CTRL + C and CTRL + V are your friends. Before you hit that post button on your epic thoughts, save it. You never can tell when an electronic tool will turn on you.

Finally, because I don't want this to be too long. Many people get scared while searching. Afraid that the government will come after them or something of that matter. Tin foil hats are not going to save you. You read at your own risk. I don't know myself if the government does or doesn't pull people out of their beds at night for knowing "too" much. However; I do know that preparedness is the best factor for survival. I myself have 12 guage shotgun shells specifically made for killing zombies. I don't believe in zombies but you can never be too sure. Hopefully other members can add on to this thread. Good luck in your endeavors.

I have to say.. I'm not a new mind on ATS at all.
And the longer I am on here the more I am coming to realize that there's a big possibility that none of it is real.. It's all just people's wild claims, imaginations and hoaxes. The reason behind my skepticism is simple, with each new thread with a title like "REAL PROOF OF" (insert "UFO, JFK killer, whatver" here) it turns out to be the same grainy picture of a bird or lamp post or moving flashy light taken by someone in the dark while shaking their camera around wildly, or some grainy video footage of JFK's limo and a glint of light etc etc etc..
There's no real proof.. Sadly.. Any "UFO" automatically HAS to do with "Aliens", why is that? Why can't it be a bird? or a Classified aircraft? or more simply a helicopter.. I mean... I have to be a skeptic, because there simply isn't HARD evidence.. So until someone can show me that hard evidence.. a picture of a "Werewolf".. Or an "Alien".. I have to be a skeptic.
Sorry if this is off subject. Just how I feel.
I want to be a believer, but at this point in time. I'm on the fence.

Don't you shot yourself in the foot with your first line.

The net is full of porn and liars, you then say the search engine is the way to go, so if what you say is true all I will find is porn or lies so what's the point.
