but back to the topic in hand, the reason people hate the USA generally is like they hate that guy that keeps coming upto them in the street saying how good everything is in a loud voice wearing bright clothes and generally annoying the tits of you when all you want to do is get to the shop and back in peace and quiet

Jealousy and envy are often masked in anger. Haters abound!! All they're doing is demonstrating their own ignorance. 

Some like to talk about how many deaths America is responsible for but they gloss over the fact that the majority of those deaths were a result of defending them from their enemies.

It is part of the plan. See Communist Russia, Nazi Germany, etc. First they use the nations to carry out their dirty plans, and then they dump them. And of course the used nations will get all the blame, hate, etc. and eventually be destroyed.

I don't hate America, culturally, we're similar, but I find it strange the brainwashing, that is done through the media.

I get American news, so I often hear things like the president being the "leader of the free world". He isn't the leader of Canada, Australia, Europe, the UK, and other countries with at least the same amount of freedoms as the US.

Your president for some reason, thinks he can decide the laws for the rest of the world, totally ignoring other countries sovereignty.

I've even heard lately that if the Keystone Pipeline goes in, you're not dependent on foreign oil anymore.
Well, we are a foreign country! Alberta is a province in Canada, not a state.

I also hear that America is the last free place in the world.
What? I feel quite free up here, and probably safer here too.

I hear US media say Canada is socialist because we have medical services, but then down there, your government gives unemployment insurance and food stamps for way, way longer than we do up here, and bank bailouts........

I even saw FOX news once say that they have cops in cars, and we have mounties on horses.
We do have cars up here, and cops often ride in them. Very few are on horses.
We've become quite civilized over the last few years

Your media/government always talks about how to handle your enemies.
You create your own enemies.
Your enemies don't hate you because you are free, otherwise they would have the same amount of hate for countries like Canada and Australia.
There must be another reason you have enemies.
Canada doesn't even have to worry about our own enemies. We have to worry about your enemies, that isn't fair.

I clearly watch too much American news. Partly, it's entertaining, but it also gives insight into what our closest neighbours are thinking, that part is often disturbing.

We like to have fun, and you guys are jealous. Most of the world must pray 12 times a day, and all they think about is religion. Also confusing why some of the government seems to load up Mexico with guns, fast and furious, white gun ops, and then talk about tightening up the northern border like we're the ones to fear.

You can see our confusion with this issue. It was proven long ago, that anyone doing terrorist attacks down there, never came from Canada. Yet, Janet Napolitano, and Lieberman (?) still blame us for 911.

Oh well, we know it isn't the fault of the people, I'm sure your government confuses you just as much as us.

I find it kind of disturbing how people can hate America for everything that it stands for....but they use the internet and youtube and Google..

I find it distrubing how America hates the middleeast and everything it stands for. They are happy to use the oil and though.

Really get a grip. Go and check out the history of the CIA for example. Going on for two million people have died in two illegal wars of recent. Both started by the USA for the control of oil. Can you not see to people looking in from the outside this is no different to the Nazis killing the jews...

The systems herein governing developed and industrialized societies are out of whack, and the "help myself, no one else" mentality is what is screwing us over on all levels of society.
