Warfare, It's come to the point where the enemies of NATO will just refuse to fight the kind of war they want them to fight. You can drop all the bombs you want but to truly defeat a country you must at some point occupy it.

Quit whining. I never said Russia would be easy, but yeah, Iran would. They have a terrible military. Their ships are 50+ years old, their weapons are old, their vehicles suck and are falling apart and they don't have the parts to repair them, their troops aren't combat hardened, and their military is tiny in comparison. They're running on a $6B budget. They even have to photoshop pictures of their missile tests to make themselves look intimidating, and the only reason they talk a big game is because they're cowards hiding behind Russia. We didn't have a tough time in Iraq so I don't know where you're getting that from. Fallujah was the toughest part. We took Fallujah in a month and it was the heaviest combat since Vietnam. The war was basically won then. After that it was defensive strategies and policing along with "hearts and minds" missions talking to people. We were only there for so long to provide security so they could set up government. We "lost" Vietnam because they were pulled out because of the massive anti-war movement back home. You might want to look up the statistics for that. They definitely had the money and the resources to keep going indefinitely. We won't have a problem wiping Iran out in a real war.

YES...the U.S. Military is the most powerful and lethal entity in the history of Man. But where were the Chinese or Russian Navies when the USN was helping Tsunami victims in primarily Muslim Nations a few years ago? When the Japanese Earhquake and Tsunami destroyed wide areas of Japan...who was first on the scene helping before even the Japanese Military...The U.S. Navy saved thousands of lives and was able through it's vast capabilities to get to areas that were the most dangerous as well as being unable by other Japanese Military methods...of getting to. The one time Leader of Japan who wanted the Nuclear Aircraft Carrier out of Japans waters as the Nimitz Class Nuclear Powered USS. George Washington was it's replacement for the non-nuclear USS. Are you sure of the figure of 1.8B. WWII killed like 40 million in total of all the countries.

Stalin killed many more than anyone else in the 'non war' scenarios. He was a cold psychopath with no value for human life. Mao, Pol Pot were like him also.

Other than Holocast, Hitler did not kill in mass except in the process of war fighting although very huge number of Russian prisoners perished in German camps out of all sorts of neglect for basic human needs. That is another way of killing I guess. That is why, after Stalingrad fell with 90,000 German prisoners taken, Russians rendered the same treatment to these soldiers and of 90K only 5K returned to Germany after the war's end.
