Well, diamondsmith....if YOU say it then it must be true....a random on a conspiracy site with no knowledge or experience or hard facts to back up your "claim", but the countless sightings, photos, videos of UFO's say otherwise......

Ive clearly been a fool for the last 15 years so thankyou for disclosing the truth to me and all the other ats members....

Anyone ever heard of the Phoenix Lights Theory

The Phoenix Lights Theory went that emergency lights were dropped during a fly-over by military planes, at night, so the slow-to-fade/wide-spreading imagery of a "fleet" seemed believable, as a "fleet".

It always struck me as apologetic, but the notion of grand-scale collusion in the creation OF a mass-public delusion, seems like HAARP being applied to such matters, before its day...

If one can believe there is fish in the ocean breathing a different gas than ourselves than he/she should be no more hesitant to believe that there is life on other planets or stars. Intelligent life at that. I mean the universe is bigger than we know and we could never travel the whole thing or even close to 2% of it with our current known technologies. People who say they are no aliens are programmed by what they have been told their whole lives.

There was a great conspiracy theory about James Cameron I read in the early 2000's. It goes that he's a high-level mason/illuminati, and his progression through the secret society networks during the 1980's, was reflected in his films...

So the Abyss is really his coded way of saying that he knows how deep it all goes, and the ethereal aliens reflected some kind of enlightenment...

Now I'm quite interested one way or the way, but many people have said how that coded way of movie-making explains alot. And often time, it certainly does. So a theory put to me was how the timing of Abyss, and Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home, were near, and so, too, were their themes....

BOTH were sea-based. BOTH about the nature of higher-life forms; and BOTH were masked as "sci-fi", when much could be said for the way its now a household opinion, based on a shift in "public opinion" since those times, that undersea forms ARE intelligent. Be they Sharks, Whales, and Dolphins, especially.

Maybe the deep is the inner-space we ought to go back to....

No, they were not. That theory was debunked by a military specialist, who pointed out the color and the movement of the lights.

The "flares" story was a coverup.

Hi, friend. Yes, that's what I meant. The documentary I saw-- in fact, such an event has been on a few on Discovery Channel over the years, but I remember on one they had a digital effects computer guy saying his opinion, and you know how it goes... "The image analysis brought up this and that..."

Its all suspect, of course, but my point was merely the perception from one quarter often concocts the fuel for that of another. And so it goes...

There have been many videos trying to prove for and against the Phoenix Lights. This one seems to provide some very good evidence for flares.

The UFO groups were/are clearly infiltrated by information gatherers and dis-info people. You are right to feel that the whole subject has become what it is at times, and to that extent, you could argue that the obfuscators are winning.
The folklore you mention is surely intertwined in all this, but that doesn't mean that the whole subject is bull, in fact, a lot of the folklore can be rearranged to fit in quite well with what is really going on.
I would bet that at times in the back of your mind you still think on occasions "what if". Trust me, I have my moments of doubt, but then I snap out of it and see through all the crap and remind myself that what we see definitely is not what we get, if you know what I mean.

The only thing that disappoints me is the way you're trying to pass your opinion off as fact... You shouldn't classify all humans into the same boat as "people need to believe in something" because that sir is not true. I don't need to believe in anything but myself. Once god or aliens start paying my bills and supporting me then I'll start to have the "need" to believe in them.

Hi friend, I agree with you 100%. I guess I tend to surprise fellow truthseekers when I give this academic view of things. In reality, I'm just an ordinary working class Englishman, but I've generally approached the subject from either what I've learnt from a well-put-together perspective from a cool documentary; or the kinds of books I've launched into off the back of seeing some blockbuster film or tv show...

Aliens are a major mystery apart of our societies, and I've always kept in mind that thing I read in the UFO mag's of the mid 90's about the way different cultures seem to have different ET contact experience. So I've always felt that made sense, but I can't put my finger on why, especially when alot of the alleged contact happened years before the predictable influence of modern sci-fi had a chance to manifest our collective unconcious, as Jung would've put it...

Thus, the debate still rages...

Not sure how much can be described as debate but it is leaning towards character assassinations from the non believers that have not witnessed with their own eyes . A bored individual stirring the pot , that left their 15 minutes of fame going down in flames .

It is quite difficult when regular pilots report anomalies which are not within their realm,

This is an example of a totally innocent pilot reporting the largest UFO ever reported (over the Channel Islands UK).

There is no incentive. Some of the passengers on this civilian flight also recorded the event.

What about those that believe in god, but are also open to the possibility of an intelligent species other than our own living somewhere in the vast universe (And it is incomprehensibly massive) ... The pope for example, he must have no idea what he's talking about.

You say that aliens do not exist because there is no real physical proof, therefore they can not possibly be. So you show me any REAL physical proof that any God exists and I will officially denounce my belief in the possibility of an Alien presence, hows that sound?

You believe in God because you were taught to believe in God, but you have no real proof that he exists, other than a book that claims that there is a God.



I can make all the same statements you have made oppositely and it makes just as much sense as the ignorant garbage you have just said.

Hi again.

One of the things that get me about this subject is some of the weirdest stories are rejected without a second glance. Let's face it, we are constantly spoon fed the idea of what normal is or should be, so anything outside the box is gonna seem odd, but even the really far out stories could at times be based on true events, but skewed by the those involved own perception of events and any preconceived prejudices in mindset. When witnessing something out of the ordinary on the level we are talking about it can only be described as an event of high strangeness anyway.

Forgot to mention, I'm from the UK too.
