We are not sending 12K troops to Libya.

Imagine the logistical elements involved. Housing, food, medical, support. DA civilians, contractors would be involved.

It'd be big big news.

And it's not.

Occam's Razor.

Romney is Obama 2.0

Matthew Feeney January 12th, 2012

www.theamericanconservative.com/blog/2012/01/12/romney-is-obama-2-0/

(...)

Mitt Romney will be incapable of standing as a conservative as the Republican nominee. His support of economic stimulus and the uncanny similarities between RomneyCare and ObamaCare make any serious opposition to two of the most contentious issues of Obama’s presidency open to charges of hypocrisy and incoherence. Even on foreign policy, an area where Romney has accused Obama of “appeasement”, he cannot take a conservative stand against Obama. The fact is that Obama already has good neoconservative credentials, having increased troop numbers in Afghanistan, taken military action in Libya, and assassinated Osama Bin Laden. The only conservative who would have any credibility debating Obama on foreign policy is Ron Paul, whose support in the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary seem to indicate that the Republican party is not as interventionist and neoconservative as it once was. Yet Mitt Romney is too far along in the nomination process to undergo a serious foreign policy re-think.

I'm sure I'll get a direct response from the man himself as to the operational details of the U.S. Military in the Middle East.

This is a Yes or No question.

What does this have to do with "operational details"?

Dear Mr. Obama.......

Are you planning to send 12000 troops to Libya?

Yes or NO answer will suffice.

Sincerely,this_is_who_we_are............

That simple.

Let me know what answer you get.

Until then,I consider this to be a Hoax.

Peace.

How's about this instead:

Dear Mr. Obama:

Thank you for stating that you will close Guantanamo and subsequently doing so. I have no need to ask you whether or not your statement that you would close said base is true or false, and I rest assured in the knowledge that Guantanamo is indeed closed in spite of what the media, bloggers and the like have to say. You're the man!

Sincerely,

TIWWA

EU Commissioner calls on Obama to close Guantanamo

15:54 12/01/2012
BRUSSELS, January 12 (RIA Novosti)

en.rian.ru/world/20120112/170723342.html

European Commissioner for Home Affairs Cecilia Malmstrom has called on U.S. President Barack Obama to keep his promise and close the prison in Guantanamo.

“[It is] a disgrace that prisoners are still held [without] trial. President Obama, [it's] time to live up to your promise,” Malmstrom wrote in her Twitter account.

Sure.

Obama himself saying hes sending 12000 American troops to Libya.

Thats not too hard for you to GET,right?

Corresponding with the White House

Either you are incredibly naive or a good practical joker. You honestly believe that the government would be completely forthcoming to the likes of this type of request? Really ? Iran-contra ring a bell. I'm not saying in this particular instance that the source is credible but your suggestion is about as daft as one can get. Wow...a new low for ATS congrats.

It never ceases to amaze me how so many supposedly intelligent people here will believe any type of crap as if it's manna from heaven without giving it a second thought.

All they are doing is just regurgitating the same unsupported rumor.

Another day, and hte original blog is still the ONLY source for this information that I can find - lots of other places are reposting it, but of course that's not actually verification of any sort.

Still going with someone pulling it out of their butt.

Well they now have 15855 troops in Australia as I write this and the container ships and G5a,s are still landing. Think about the logistics that you do not know about sir.

Preemptive HOAX is the opposite of "giving it a second thought". Consideration of the information as it is brought to the table is not "believe(ing) any type of crap".

I know a little about logistics.
Just a little, mind you.

Any troop movement in or to Libya would have to fall under the auspices of Africom and as far as I know, not a peep out of them on expediture, logistical support, or troops coming for a wee visit.

She was reportedly on board that flotilla to Israel and ended up in an Israeli prison, and also a blogger had this to say about her

Kooky leftist former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney has been making the media rounds across the Middle East in recent weeks. She’s appeared on Libyan state television several times to show support for Gaddafi and condemn the NATO action to unseat him. But this video you have to see. Cynthia McKinney may be the most radical far left person in America. She talks about having read Gaddafi’s “Green Book” for “Direct Democracy” (Socialism). Gaddafi’s “Green Book” was inspired by Chairman Mao’s “Little Red Book.” McKinney says she was so intrigued by the green book that she took it home to show her fellow kooks. She would like to see America governed by a similar Commie book. What a piece of work this broad is, no?

www.thehotjoints.com...

She is clearly socialist, and apparently POTUS' warmongering is bothering this crowd.
