Nice video indeed. Btw, that is one of the few NASA videos from the ISS where the stars are very visible. Almost all of NASA videos from space only have darkened sky as background. Are they hiding something from us?

I think the ISS's time and position over the Earth has a lot to do with it. The stars are far more visible in video while the ISS is on the dark side of the earth (see Aurora Lights ISS) than compared with when ISS is flying over the light side (see this video).

But you're right, it does look surreal. But then again, I've never been in Space. I can't properly justify what is surreal and what is not.
