I believe, musically, people have a natural inclination to either rock music or pop music. That isn’t to say you favour that genre to the exclusion of all other music, but, that you lean towards a style.

I rock…hahaha.

ABBA.

[color=FFCDB8]Pop is short for [color=FFCDB8]popular.

Some rock is considered [color=FFCDB8]popular, by some people.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

I like poprocks more than any music with lyrics in it.
Most of them are the same regurgitated trash anyways.

I'd rather just listen to the instruments.

Yeah, I know that you are saying it is either one or the other, but apparently you don't know what I mean. It is not always one or the other. The two can be one and the same.

That's new metal. It's good but I'm talking about original metal:

How about a mix?...Ozzy, Geezer, and Metallica all at the same time?

BTW...just thought since you posted Sabbath Intrepid I thought I'd mention Tony Iommi has cancer...just in case people hadn't yet heard. So their new album and tour are on hold.

I don't like to chain myself to one musical style or another; I have been a rocker since I was old enough to turn on the radio and listen to what was available but I also consider myself a connoisseur of other musical genres that I listen to as much as straight-ahead rock and roll; Blues, Jazz, Pop & Pop-Rock, among them. And, as BrokenCircles pointed out Rock & Pop are not musically exclusive,(see The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac or any one of dozens of other bands). Just my 2 cents...

I would say I lean more toward Rock, definitely. Though, I do appreciate some of the "Pop" of the 50's - 80's.

90's onward, though, not a chance.
