The law says I have to warn the intruder first before taking any defensive action. I am not legally allowed to shoot first and ask questions later.

Using this example, who is the intruder in the middle east? USA or Iran?

EDIT: Iran is a sovereign nation and allowed to protect their country the same as any other and I don't know that Casus belli covers making weapons which other countries already have.

OK....so you warn him but he keeps heading for the gun. What do you do to protect your family?

Iran has been warned for YEARS!! Guess what? They're still pursuing nukes in violation of the UN resolution!!

Yeah man that's absolutely true but governments only govern at the pleasure of the people. When there is too much displeasure they are in trouble of being taught a lesson which we all know from school can and has happened. All people need to do is stand up and tell their government to mind it's business and stop spending money on military follies which there is no money in their wallets to pay for.

Could you at least for once show some proof that Iran's nuclear program is for weapons and not peaceful? They have every right to nuclear power and America is breaking it's agreement by not helping them get nuclear power.

Please provide an example of what one would use uranium that has been enriched beyond 20% for if not a weapon…that type of enrichment isn’t necessary for nuclear energy production.

Would you rather wait until they have a nuke and use it? Is that the kind of proof you need before we act?

20% can be used for electrical power. Here's a place that sells it. Marathon Resources Limited Good thing we took out the Russians before they used their nukes huh?

Got any proof? Because the UN doesn't have any proof of Iran building a bomb. The only proof is Israel says they are building one. The US state dept said Iran stopped building the bomb back in 03 and has shown no evidence of restarting one.

Your source states that uranium for power is enriched 3-4% of U-235. Uranium is deemed “highly enriched” when it reaches 20% U-235! Big difference between 4% and 20%!

Uranium processed for electricity generation is not useable for weapons. The uranium used in power reactor fuel for electricity generation is typically enriched to about 3-4% of the isotope U-235, compared with weapons-grade which is over 90% U-235. For safeguards purposes uranium is deemed to be "highly enriched" when it reaches 20% U-235. Few countries possess the technological knowledge or the facilities to produce weapons-grade uranium.

Besides, what peaceful nuclear program is buried under ground??

Oh come on, man!! You can’t be serious. There is a ton of evidence. The inspectors concluded that Iran is pursuing a nuke.

United Nations weapons inspectors have amassed a trove of new evidence that they say makes a “credible” case that “Iran has carried out activities relevant to the development of a nuclear device,” and that the project may still be under way.

The report laid out the case that Iran had moved far beyond the blackboard to create computer models of nuclear explosions in 2008 and 2009 and conducted experiments on nuclear triggers. It said the simulations focused on how shock waves from conventional explosives could compress the spherical fuel at the core of a nuclear device, which starts the chain reaction that ends in nuclear explosion.

The report also said Iran went beyond such theoretical studies to build a large containment vessel at its Parchin military base, starting in 2000, for testing the feasibility of such explosive compression. It called such tests “strong indicators of possible weapon development.”

The inspectors agreed with a much-debated classified United States National Intelligence Estimate issued in 2007 that Iran had dismantled a highly focused effort to build a bomb in late 2003, but found significant recent work, though conducted in a less coordinated manner.

The inspectors’ report cited:

¶ Documents suggesting that Iran “was working on a project to secure a source of uranium suitable for use in an undisclosed enrichment program” to make bomb fuel.

¶ Evidence that Iran “had been provided with nuclear explosive design information.”

¶ Information that it worked on experiments with conventional explosives to compress metal into an incredibly dense mass suitable to start a chain reaction.

¶ Documentation of “at least 14 progressive design iterations” for a missile warhead to deliver an atomic warhead to a distant target.

How many bases does the USA have underground? Does the USA have any military nuclear facilities above ground?
