He said Congress first granted this authority during the Great Depression so presidents "could swiftly reorganize the executive branch to meet the changing needs of the American people and the immediate challenges of the Great Depression."
what that really means is streamlining the way for the war machine just like it allowed in WW2 during the great depression.
seeing any similarities to the depression era here? i sure am.
A great financial depression caused by the banking system itself. check.
sanctions on a foreign country causing anger and military war posturing from both sides.check.
lines and allies being drawn, world powers military being strategically positioned.
I have been warning of a power grab like this from Obama or his admin. it comes in the form of protection we need our glorious leader to protect us so lets give him more power...its funny how they mention the DHS later in the article.
He noted the Department of Homeland Security "reports to over 100 different congressional panels." He said his administration, during the past three years, has tried to rectify some wasteful wrongs by paring government when possible and taking advantage of 21st century technology.
right there shows his true intentions free up the Dept. of Homeland security in the guise of more efficiency, what is really happening is the unraveling of the checks and balance system that keeps the DHS in line... soon enough I fear we will see Obama appoint a select group within the DHS that will be under his strict command.

He shows his motivation and lack of Gov. knowledge with quotes like this.
"With or without Congress, I'm going to act," Obama said,
seems like he has no regard for our Gov. and the way it works he knows best so lets all sit back and watch him continue to rewrite our US history.
