Eating and sitting. The top causes can be related to lethargy and gluttony.

How else would a hedonistic nation die?

Yeah, it's a shocking thing to see. Why people in the US are more likely to kill themselves than be killed is a whole topic unto itself that could go on and on.

When folks like the Brady bunch collect stats to manipulate how guns are perceived they draw from that suicide and accident stat to inflate the "people killed by guns" (as if they are operating autonomously) number.

Remember how jurors are demanding more evidence in court because they've been watching too much CSI? Well, turn that around. People are getting more educated on performing crime. All those murder-crime shows on TV, its educating people on how to murder without getting caught. Like how to make it look like an accident or suicide, and how to leave zero evidence.

Just a possibility.

That doesn't change the number of people murdered. And those shows are not any more accurate about murder then they are about evidence. Just like medical shows don't accurately portray a hospital.
The murdered people are murdered, that is the statistic, it doesn't include if the perp got away with it or not.

So does this mean that less people are dying from violence or is violence about the same and more people are now dying from all the chemicals and GMOs they put in our foods nowadays?

It wouldn't surprise me to find out that violent deaths are about the same but, deaths from other causes are on the rise because of all the crap in our foods and in the environment, not to mention whatever effect all this Wi-Fi everywhere is having on people's health.
