Why the 2012 Republican presidential primaries are a well-executed attempt to distract the general p

We all know that the world is going to end in 2012*

When and how remains to be seen. I am convinced that TPTB know all about it and are just trying to keep the general population nice and placid before it all goes tits up.

The conspiracy is pretty obvious, to me anyway, and the most apparent give-away is to be seen in the 2012 Republican presidential nomination process. Here's why:

We all know that 99 % of the general population is plain stupid*. Most of them are quite content to fritter away their pathetic lives watching trash on the TV just so they have something to discuss over the water cooler at work the following day. In so doing, they can avoid doing any real work for anything up to ten minutes at a time. This process is repeated over periods of 40+ years, after which these self-same individuals eagerly seize the opportunity to take retirement and await death while immersing themselves in TV around the clock.

These people have little or no interest in important things happening around them. If you try to engage them in meaningful conversation they say, "I don't care about politics.." or they just stare back at you blankly like a goldfish, only stupider.

But what about the other one percent who are above the mind control experiment that is television? These people are politically engaged and alert to the bigger issues happening around them. They come in all political colours and shades, they disagree vehemently on the details, yet they share something in common: they are part of the political process. This one percent is more "awake" to "events". Not as easily controlled.

Or are they?

The Biggest Political Circus On Earth is how TPTB are exercising mind control over the 1 %. An orgy of political intrigue, filled with everything the politically-minded wonk could wish for. Ideological debate, nuanced rhetoric, debate after debate after debate after etc...gaffes, marital infidelities, put-downs and the most ridiculous collection of crazy whack-jobs all vying for the biggest prize going...YES...the launch codes to the planet's greatest arsenal of nuclear weaponry. For the one percent, that is gripping Reality TV that cannot be missed.

24 hr news channels around the world can't get enough. News editors are giving top priority to this never ending merry-go-round., dispatching their very best reporters to sleepy Iowa, frozen New Hampshire, etc. etc. just to get the latest tidbit that could just spell disaster for the latest frontrunner...

And while all this is going on, the normally alert 1 % are spellbound. They have fallen for exactly the same mind-control techniques as the remaining 99.

I have heard and read a lot of pundits recently questioning just why the GOP cannot decide on a candidate for 2012. Here in Europe, news-anchors are practically begging the question: "How come, in such a huge country, one of the two major political parties cannot come up with a plausible candidate?" to which nobody in a position of authority can give a plausible answer.

Because the answer would reveal a terrible truth. 2012 and the end of the world. TPTB know it and the best way to prevent mass-panic is to exercise mind control over the entire population.

99 % are easily taken care of. They don't care. Even if you grabbed them by the shoulders, shook them violently and said "Listen! The world is about to end..." they would respond and say "no it already did when the Oprah Show finished."

The other 1 % is being controlled by a carefully and cleverly orchestrated piece of political theatre that will build and build to its climax in early November, by which time our collective fate will be sealed. I am (reasonably) certain of it.

What are other people's thoughts on this hastily put together theory?

Considering Ron Paul is steady at around 23%, that would indicate the actual number of stupid people is only 77%, or thereabout.

That's a bit of an arrogant thing to say.

Elections in America are nothing but a dog and pony show to make people think that they have choices in this country. You can go out and cast your vote for a Democrat that serves the corporations and special interest groups, or you can vote for a Republican that serves the corporatocracy and special interest groups. Just look at Obama, during the 2008 elections the media painted him as some sort of saviour that was gonna magically erase all the bad things of big government and we would all be looking like the guy on the front of the monopoly box within his first year in office. He could do or say nothing wrong. But then when he took office,notice how the media spun everything the man did as wrong? And I mean EVERYTHING.

IF you ask me, thats the only reason that "they" let a black man be president in the first place. They know that theres an economic collapse coming and better to use the media so the masses blame the idiotic black guy that did this. Most people seem to think the president is some sort of emperer that dictates all the policies. Not realizing theres a whole House and Senate that are just as much to blame for following the same failed stupid policies as always. Easier just to blame the stupid black guy Instead of putting blame to their criminal friends on Wall st. Every time I drive through Texas, I see at least one billboard proclaiming how Obama is a communist, hes destroying America, etc. People are so easily led without even taking the time to think just a little bit about whats going on around them. It makes me depressed to think of the future of this country.

What you are referring to is 23 % of 248,497 votes cast. The population of NH is 1,318,194. That means less than 19 % of the State of New Hampshire actually voted. And just 4.3 % of the state total voted for Ron Paul, meaning that my figure of 1 % really isn't that far off the mark...
