Freedom of Information Act slammed by Presidential Orders - UNCONSTITUTIONAL?

Maybe some of you can chime in and provide me some credible reason as to why "We the people" of the United States of America sit around and allow each President to write and pass "Presidential Orders"? These orders bend and manipulate if not down right take away our natural born rights provided by the Constitution

I find it frustrating that there's a "Freedom of Information Act" that allows public access to government records. Then I continue digging and reading only to find that if a document is considered "Classified" it will not be released and that determination of classified falls under an Executive Order.

The constitution does not state that a President can do this. www.votetocracy.com...

Why is it tolerated? How can it be stopped? I'm sure I'm not the only person to hit this wall of political and government cover-up....is there anything out there that gives the citizens a loop hole into obtaining government information?

Executive Orders skip the system that was put in place to ensure there was no dictator, yet there's thousands of these orders. One of the biggest thus far during WWII when Roosevelt wrote EO 9066 placing Japanese, German and Italian US citizens in "camps". It blows my mind that this has taken place.

I will admit to my horse blinders and brainwashed ideals for the first 30 years of my life, which now I wish I would have made it my life's quest to ask "Why?" to everything that I knew didn't make sense when it was being taught to me or told to me. However; in the past 5 years I continue to learn and grow in hopes of finding some sort of truth behind our government. It certainly appears to me that there's way more lies, corruption and manipulation than there has ever been truth.

Don't we all deserve at least half truths??? I would rather hear, we are doing this because of this than be told a lie and then try to hide and cover it up for years and years by using "Classified" and "Top Secret" or need to know....only to find out more years later....oh yeah....that was all just a lie back then but we were protected because it was all classified.

I can understand and appreciate that there's a need to keep secret information and classified projects, black projects or whatever for national defense. But information pertaining to events from 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago...classified only tells me that everybody involved has not died yet!!! It's bullsh*t....

So, here I am....right back to where I started. Sorting through documents and threads, watching youtube videos of supposed ex government employees talking out...etc. etc. etc. and there's absolutely no way to find any truth. What a smoke and mirrors trick our government is!! The conspiracy within the conspiracy is our government itself.

If anybody has anything to add, delete, criticize, help, provide insight and guidance or if you just feel like venting frustration, comments are welcome and appreciated.

At this point they're getting ready to put people in camps and you're worried about FOIA that they can just black out all the text of? They declared martial law on America and you think they're gonna stop? They're using double speak on the masses, and it's working.

Oh believe me...I'm not "just worried" about FOIA...it just seems to be a topic I wanted to discuss. The NDAA act that everyone says was passed allowing the government to put us in camps that Obama said he'd never sign, yet signed because they changed the wording around that allows the law to be manipulated and assigned to anyone the government feels is a threat....which would be all of us on this site minus the implanted officials watching us has a far more in-depth and saddened out-cry than the FOIA.

I'm following everything that's going on.... I'm digging and trying to find the "End Game..." that's what brought me here to this site to begin with. My quest in finding information regarding a 2005 or early 2006 US Army mission in Iraq near Fallujah. I believe there's a huge conspiracy that involves the invasion into Iraq in 2002 and we all know it wasn't WMDs and we also now know it wasn't for any oil or our gas prices would be .35c per gallon right now as it is in the middle east....

Anyway, I keep waiting for the big announcement from Obama....everyday I wake up and flip on the news. I think it's coming very soon.....

Sorry for coming off so harsh, but I really think we're already in the "Do or Die" elimination round. I hope enough people realize it in a hurry.

Well you know the saying freedom isn't free...well I think we all know what its going to take to fix this. Our constitution gavegives us the right to correct this. And as out so called government has taught us political action gets us no where. I sometimes wonder if our system of impowerment and inslavement that we call the (not our) govenment thinks we are blind, andor stupid, or just plane flat out don't care. The longer we take to act, the harder its going to be to achive. If they had given us some control over the events taken place in the decisions that go on ( like the constitution) gave us, then they might have been able to pull their **** alittle longer. Hey we are all thinking it, I'm just saying it. There is a chance I could disapear or improperly be labled a "terrorest" for lableing "them" as a terrorest. But I am one man.I will give my life for what's left of this country. I'm not a man of religious beliefs but I must say we are walking through the valley of the shadow of death, AND I WILL FEAR NO EVIL. I am very angry at how we have been treated. I really hope the EOTWAWKI is along us. Let nature set its course and deliver us from evil.

I think it's too late. You hit it right on the head when you said we are at do or die and nobody cares. Kind of same point I was making with my thread...we've allowed this since 1862 when Presidents started doing what they wanted....

I do agree...nobody cares enough and our country is naive and gullible. But hey, let's decrease our military by a million soldiers, let's allow the government to monitor not only our phone calls but our emails and computer networking and if we try to stand up and give notice that things aren't right...we will now be considered terrorist organizations just like the "occupy" groups are now on that list!! but it's okay...as long as there's soap operas on during the day and american idol on at night.... the citizens are content with everything going on..... sad my friend!!! pisses me off

I won't say that I am the most educated or informed person in such said matters but I can assure you that FOX news IS one of the biggest puppets and last I would emplicate my intentions with of all of the media. I could be wrong but I would consider maybe BBC or a forign news agaency first... like I said could be wrong.

Yes sir...I stand beside ya and will die beside ya too.... I really think the government has been moving along with their ulterior motives for a long time now and the citizens haven't cared and become numb to the daily routine of their lives. all the while...the plot and end game was being developed and put in motion. now it's coming to light. it's too late for anyone to stand up and stop executive orders as them being labeled as taking away from our constitutional rights because if we do...now they can place us in FEMA camps. FEMA...wow what a blind sided, look at left hand while i put this in place and provide them with all the power of the country with the right hand...and the president assigns the leader of FEMA. so basically, we can't fight the machine now...we will have to ride it out...and pick the fights where we can!!!

Sad to say, but you're probably correct about watching a foreign news cast. Honestly, I find the "news" section of this site to be very fast with updating current information and very accurate....so far. I've read some pretty far fetched threads...but who am I to judge... at least everyone on here are "Free thinkers" and at least realize there's something not right with all the history we've been taught and the future path we are on!!!!

just a thought.. someone should start a petition on white house . gov to do away with the prex ability to make these decisions without an act of congress.. considering hes already used it for war it seams appropriate...

Hmmmm...I wonder if this has been done yet? I don't think it can hurt at this point other than landing me in a cell in Guantanamo getting water boarded without right to a trial by jury and being held indefinitely....

A small price to pay if it would catch on and open the eyes of the people!

Hey here's a hopeful thought.

With all these powers to the President, IF Ron Paul were to win, he could really clean house with all these executive orders, used for good instead of Evil. Like they will let that happen!

Its good to have such good support on my first day of this membership. It pains me to see someone sugest "riding the storm out" my quote- I have always been more of a man of action but there might be something to this"let the cards fall as they may" till the right time thing...... I heard someone once say in guerrilla like tatics, you use your weaknesses to your advantage, if your big. then your slow. if your small your fast. Or a bunch small guys can make big results.

I believe that you're pretty accurate there. I'm a man of action as well...and I just started a petition. At least it's out there for people to see and sign. I do believe we aren't going to have a choice but to sit and watch things play out...maybe at that point guerrilla tactics will be the means to survive or means to start something and make it happen correctly. Who knows at this point. I think there's something big in the works behind the scenes though....maybe they'll let us know one day. but then again, if it's anything like how they run the system now...they probably won't!!!!

This is why I wouldn't bother trying to use FOIA to get information.
Even if they give it out sometimes they charge thousands of dollars just to make copies for you.

There's only one reason for all this secrecy and it's not for yours or my benefit, just the crooks that have made millions from being our "public servants"

with the NDAA2012 Act the "P" Act and other laws, bills that have been passed , it would not be, nor would i be surprised if by Nov we in the US are under Martial Law, all, the rules and rights suspended Obama thus be comes King.

I hope you're wrong...but there's a lot of things taking place under the radar that end up as a quick 2 second spread on the news that lead me to believe you are correct. I think the government is going to announce something big which will allow martial law to take place. i just don't know what it is. I don't think martial law will go as the president plans though...about the first time the american public see an american soldier kill another citizen on television...it'll be game on....
