Alleged Russia arms ship docks in Syria despite vow to change course

Turkey says a Russian ship, allegedly carrying tons of weapons, has docked at a Syrian on port on Thursday after Cypriot officials allowed it to leave.

The ship had made an unscheduled stop in Cyprus, violating an EU embargo on arms shipments to Syria, which has killed thousands in a crackdown on dissent. Cyriot officials on Wednesday allowed the ship to leave after it changed its destination to Turkey.

The ship had turned off its tracking device and the information could not be independently verified.

Well, well, well. Looks like the Russians made a friendly little stop through today to deliver Assad some much needed ammunition and who knows what other goods? Interesting the ship turned off its tracking device so that it could sneak into the Syrian port. Im sure the Turks are NOT happy one bit about this.....

Well, when one considers that Syria is as much a client state to Russia as, say, Saudi Arabia is to us, it doesn't shock me to hear this. Perhaps they were delivering the rest of these:

Obama seems to be the one not considering the Russians as more than a diplomatic annoyance. Even docking their Aircraft Carrier in Syria doesn't seem to get the message across. Russia may not be sitting on the sidelines if their friend in Damascus starts to lose to NATO/US efforts.. This isn't another Libya.

At least mutually assured.The West is trying to assure destruction of third world.Atleast West will pay for its genocides.Better mutually assured destruction than Western world domination and genocide in third world.

The carrier left yesterday so if it is for that group then they are a day late.

Man, inciting violence towards an entire people is pretty backwards. I think that Russia is playing a dangerous game that this report now shows its true intentions. Right now there is no government on this planet that deserves the consent of the governed. All of them act like the deserve to rule the world constantly make deals to back-stab other countries. I'm not sure where you're from but your attitude seems to indicate it isn't from the U.S. The Western civilization doesn't need to be destroyed however I think we need a change in leadership. One without Israeli influence and the big bankers need to be kicked out.

BTW Russia isn't in any position to deal with the West on their own and they might make a difference through attrition if they can jockey for position to lead a coalition of forces against them.
