The United States is sponsoring the construction of facilities in Georgia on the threshold of a military conflict in Iran, a member of Georgian opposition movement Public Assembly, Elizbar Javelidze has stated.

“These are 20-bed hospitals…It’s an American project. A big war between the US and Iran is beginning in the Persian Gulf. $5 billion was allocated for the construction of these 20-bed military hospitals,” Javelidze said in an interview with Georgian paper Kviris Kronika (News of the Week), as cited by Newsgeorgia website.

Javelidze believes that it is all linked to the deployment of US military bases on the Georgian soil. Lazika – one of Saakashvili’s mega-projects, a new city that will be built from a scratch – will be “an American military town”. According to the politician, “a secret airdrome” has already been erected in the town of Marneuli, southern Georgia.
The opposition member wondered who would protect Georgia in case if Iran fires its missiles against US military facilities on the territory of the Caucasian state.
All in all, about 30 new hospitals and medical centers were opened in the former Soviet republic in December last year. The plan is to build over a hundred more.

rt.com...

So, 20 bed hospitals times 130 hospitals can serve 2,600 casualties.
Now... is this all for a Naval operation against Iran? Or is the US seriously thinking
to invade Iran with troops on the ground? They do have the country surrounded.

But these beds are not just for Iran, Im thinking the US is actually preparing a conflict against the Russia!
And they need to get Iran & Syria out of the way first.

But lets assume this is about a Navy battle.
How difficult is it to conduct rescue missions out in the open water?
Im assuming a high casualty count in open water means a high death count,
unlike on land?

And how many casualties does the US expect to have if they have to build
hospitals all the way out in Georgia?

they're just going over some ground rules.

for example: no nukes, no matter how badly a side is losing. winner keeps all territory conquered. carpet bombing allowed but only on muslim citizens.

former superpowers and current superpowers will not invade each other's proper soil. former republics and puppet countries are fair game.

u.n. to referee. no sore losing.

As someone else mentioned here, this is far more serious then most people think. Russia has always stated it will not accept american presence near its borders. Not now not ever.

For Russia this means an act of war.

Why on earth, would you include India? India would NOT side with Russia and China, on any planet, including this one.

Put down the backpack full of ramen noodles, step away from the internet and belly up to the logic table. Why are people so ignorant of global politics? How can you people be part of this site, investigating conspiracies and still think this way?

Russia wants NOTHING to do with fighting the US. China ALSO will not be fighting the US! Neither of these countries are going to throw 20 years of progress in the dumpster, like they never happened!

India will side with the US. Fact!

Russia and China could defend their countries sufficiently, but lack the ability to project power much further than their border.

Russia and China will continue to stand up for NK and Iran. It is in their benefit to do so. They might send arms or block routes, claiming to be against any attacks. BUT, they will NOT put their military up against any attack.

I stand by my thoughts and words, and would go as far as to bet my membership here I am right... Anyone else willing to do so?

They will if their oil gets chocked off.

China needs oil.

China's expectation of growing future dependence on oil imports has brought it to acquire interests in exploration and production in places like Kazakhstan, Russia, Venezuela, Sudan, West Africa, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Canada. But despite its efforts to diversify its sources, China has become increasingly dependent on Middle East oil. Today, 58% of China's oil imports come from the region. By 2015, the share of Middle East oil will stand on 70%. Though historically China has had no long-standing strategic interests in the Middle East, its relationship with the region from where most of its oil comes is becoming increasingly important.

key driver in China's relations with terrorist-sponsoring governments is its dependence on foreign oil to fuel its economic development. This dependency is expected to increase over the coming decade."
China's relations with state sponsors of terrorism has provided these countries a great deal of money, allowing them to continue to harbor terrorist organizations and to maintain a policy of oppression and exploitation of their people. China is the number one oil and gas importer from Iran. The two countries are bound by energy deals reaching a total value of $120 billion and growing. While the U.S. and EU were forging a diplomatic strategy to halt Iran’s nuclear program, China signed in October 2004 its largest energy deal with Iran ever and promised to block any American attempt to refer Iran’s nuclear program to the UN Security Council. This may indicate not only that China is interested in a militarily strong, even nuclear Iran that dominates the Gulf but also that for China, energy security considerations trump international cooperation on critical global security issues. In addition to its special relations with Iran, China is also known to be a provider of WMD technologies to rouge states including North Korea, Syria, Libya and Sudan.

www.iags.org...

The US or Israel declaring war on Iran is basically declaring war on China.

China? I didn't mention China... I mentioned India..

Also, All of the other Middle East oil exporters said they would pick up where Iran left off.

Non issue. China is too smart to go to war with the US. Russia doesn't have enough wd-40 to
get their gear back on the road.
