Michelle Obama Dismisses 'Angry Black Woman' Image

news.yahoo.com

First Lady Michelle Obama denied reports of tension between her and White House aides, saying people have tried to portray her as "some kind of angry black woman."

In an interview with CBS News, the first lady said she has not read New York Times reporter Jodi Kantor's new book "The Obamas," which depicts her as a forceful behind-the-scenes power player in her husband's administration who often clashes with the president's top advisers.

"I never read these books," Obama told CBS' Gayle King. "I've just gotten in the habit of not reading other people's impressions of people.

"My hope is that over time people get to know me. And they get to judge me for me," she said. "That's why I don't read these books. Because, you know, it's a game in so many ways… Who can write about how I feel? Who? What third person can tell me how I feel? Or anybody for that matter."

huh? did the first lady really just play the race card?
i'm not sure what to think of this, but i'm sure some of you can educate me.

In a press statement the other day, she was thought to have said this as well. . . .

"If anyone tries to tell me that I'm angry then I'll rip off their (snip) heads and (snip) down their necks and fire each and every (snip) one of their (snip) and while I'm at it, hunt down and (snip) all their relatives and even people who resemble them!"
Her anger management coach was unavaliable for comment because she had punched him in the throat.

Seriously?
This is typical of the Obama regime. They create a story out of thin air, respond to allegations they made up and try to alter the tone inwhich they initially set.

Watch the talking heads for the next few weeks blather on about rhetoric and how it needs to be toned down and why are the Tea Party so racist. . . . . yadda yadda yadda

i guess we'll need to find out if the author mentioned the word black. that is what she was responding to.

Why does it have to be "Black Woman",why not just Woman?

I agree......there are more pressing issues, then fabricated ones.

When unemployment jumps back up after the holliday surge, they'll need a strawman argument to distract from Obama's failed economic recovery.
