You guys are missing the forest for the trees! This is great news. Are you forgetting what world we live in? Handheld computers and ubiquitous internet is like the old "nightly news" on a shot of amphetamine with a side of crack

Just like the stories about the diamond encrusted, serial philanderer Salamander, er Newt Gingrich, the truth is getting out fast.

Don't forget, we the members of ATS are about 2 weeks ahead of the rest of the world. This video will Make the power rotation with the cubicle set. People will see it and more will show up to his rallies and laugh at his remarks. Maybe a pie or rotten tomato Will hit him in the kisser and wipe that polyethylene smirk off his puss?

Krushev, Mao or Hitler could not have done more damage to the interior of our country than this demonic anarchic capitalist sht bird. I'm picturing a camel with Romney's face trying to shove through the eye of a needle.

Typical American politician - hiding his egregious lust for capital behind his small town holier than thou religion. How can I be bad, I'm a religious man?? When will the people stop falling for it??

I'm guessing never because they're poorly educated (by design) and believe the MSM actually tells the truth.

I just found out that years ago Romney actually strapped his dog into a dog carrier and onto the roof of his car for a 12 hour drive to Canada
How could anyone do such a thing. I have no problem with the dog carrier but on the roof of his car????

10 THUMBS DOWN

Yeah, the dog thing is much worse than ending the jobs of tens of thousands of Americans to make a profit.

:/

Agreed, however it is an indicator of his mindset, his level of compassion, his morality level. How he treats his pets is an indicator of how he will treat America.

I think it's interesting to note that when Romney was offered the position as CEO of Baine Capital, he initially denied the offer. Subsequently, the terms of him taking the position was altered and re-arranged, for the sole purpose of virtually eliminating any financial or professional risk to Romney. Seems exactly what a self-interested and hypocritical person would do. One might argue it's somewhat borderline psychopathic, considering what he actually did as CEO of Baine Capital.

According to wikipedia Baine Capital claimed that overall, more jobs were added due to the buyouts, but a lack of records makes this claim unverifiable.

Romney said this:

"Sometimes the medicine is a little bitter but it is necessary to save the life of the patient. My job was to try and make the enterprise successful...
Mitt Romney

Using allegories and metaphors such as this, it kind of dehumanizes the aspect of layoffs and what implications they have to peoples lifes. The patient, meaning the company, and the medicine meaning layoffs and restructuring. So I guess the employees are the parasite/bacteria/virus that the company is needed to be healed from?

Most of the companies he purchased became viable and profitable, those that did not shut down - thats about 20% of all the companies he brought.

Before Bain came to town, were these companies already being mis-managed and non-profitable?

I dont think anyone on these forums is a particular fan of Mitt Romney.

The following video really says it all.

It needs to be spread around conservative forums like hotair or redstate.

Not to mention:

Seriously... can we get anyone other than a prefabricated, lie-spewing, psychotic nut job running for the GOP?

(Yes, I know Ron Paul... but, I have a feeling he will have to run as an independent, because his stance is so radical for the Republican party.)

WOW...just wow. How can this man still be alive? I supreised that none of those people took the law into their own hands...jeeez. What a piece of sh!t. Lets just hope that people wont vote for the psychopath.

Mitt Romney becomes the first Republican non-incumbent to win both Iowa and New Hampshire

This world is just so crazy, I can hardly even believe it. I can take one look at the guy and tell he's a total schmuck. And people wonder why America is being driven into the ground. Could it be any more obvious? It's because you have guys like this at the wheel. I give up, I just absolutely give up. America will get what it asks for.

This video epitomizes the true market system in America -

Corporatism.

Corporations are NOT people, and anyone who tries to convince you otherwise is trying to manipulate your thought process.

Corporations are able to go bankrupt, after selling off the equipment, and NONE of the officers are held financially responsible.

A very simple change in corporate law, holding the officers personally financially responsible for the debts of the Corporation would cure the insanity and remove what has been termed as “Corporate Raiding”

Mitt Romney today would be broke instead of being the riches man running for president.

The US must return to the days of limited corporate charters, the chief requirement becoming once again “the Public Good”.

Good point. That thought also popped into my head as I was watching the video.

Just found this video today and was going to post it and found this thread on my search.

Very well done documentary. I really suggest people watch this video and found out more about the Man and not just the words coming out of his mouth. People should be judged by their actions, so take a look at Mitt's.

This guy is a true slash and burn capitalist. He chose lay off tens of thousands of people so him and his investors could make a very large profit. Not that they couldn't make sustainable decent profit without laying them off to begin with.

How much is enough? Well that's subjective, but if you're making a decent profit, then it's TOO MUCH to lay off a bunch of people just because you want to make a little more, and this is reckless, predatory, mutant capitalism, and it's ruining the country.

Of course your a socialist if you disagree with this reckless greed.

Are yall serious? Really?? Or are we being just a tad emotional or snippy? Really.

Even born with a silver spoon, you don't get to be as successful as Romney without being danged good at something. So you don't like his career choice. So what. I don't see anyone skewering the fat cat attorneys we elect, because they're successful and we don't respect their j-o-b.

Are you honestly saying that if you had the same ability and opportunity as Romney that you wouldn't run with it? Come on.

I cannot believe that Obama's whole greed/envy/bitter/reactionary/classwarfare gig has become so deeply ingrained in such a frighteningly short period of time. And so insidiously that people fall right into it & don't even see it.

We act out the very thing Obama wrought upon this Country - to destroy people who excel at the core principals our country was founded upon (free enterprise, Capitalism & unlimited potential) - by convincing ourselves we're actually defending it. Awful sneaky circle.

It's a sad state of affairs & a bad omen for our future when we despise & criticize successful people, & feel self-righteous about doing so. Democrats, liberals, socialists, communists, marxists etc are expected to focus on his success and bastardize it into something it's not; but I hate to see conservatives, libertarians, republicans, constitutionalists & young folks fall for it. It's not even a new tactic. Please, let us not be the next nation to be so gullible. Focus on the real issues.

Heck, I don't even like the guy. But I'd hire him in a heartbeat (& have hired many Bainers). If it comes down to Romney or nothing - I'll hold my nose, vote for him & hate myself in the morning. But my decision is based on the facts not opinion of his career choice or media bias. Hmm .. 'didn't mean to write so much. Willing to discuss - not argue, if anyone's interested. Ciao!

I'm just bumping this thread because I feel it died out too quickly, and also because more people need to see this and realize the fate they are bestowing upon themselves if they continue to support Romney.
