Federal DHS Lawsuit Costs Oklahoma nearly $7 Million

The agreement states that the federal court will also determine how much more taxpayers will pay in legal costs to Children's Rights.

For two decades, the child advocacy group has filed legal challenges in 15 states and jurisdictions seeking reforms in child-welfare systems.

In all but two, judicial orders or consent decrees were enacted to force improvements in the public systems. Court fees received by the nonprofit have ranged from about $6 million to nearly $11 million.

Oh yeah thanks for pointing that out. I've been overlooking that.

I will repost the other links regarding DHS in another thread so that you still can look them over.

Department of Human Services has been under fire for a few years now here. They have been taking kids away for little to no reason. To increase their budget i assume.

Anyway, they have had a hard time justifying all these kids they took. Us Oklahoman's are not happy about.

Especially me, since they took me away from my mom for no reason. Let me tell you, being forcibly kidnapped by the government for no reason changes a kid.

I am 20 now and I still will never forgive this particular branch of the government.

I hear you man, I am sorry for you also.

I come from a different side of the coin. My grievance is with the judicial system regarding child custody disputes.

These are the socialist/marxist people infiltrating our justice system along side advocacy groups serving the same agenda.

If you want to see the agenda in plain black and white, you can find it here.
socialistparty-usa.org...

Click trough the platform links and read them entirely.

Note: they are trying to destroy men and families in general, particularly white men while favoring minorities and women, to achieve their goals of transforming our government and judicial system.

you will get pulled over and searched for NO reason...

One time I got searched in my own drive way. For standing by my own moms car. They thought I was "stealing it".

I appreciate the vigilance guys, but when my mom come out and tells you thats her car and I am her son, take a chill pill and stop searching me. Don't just continue as if nothing had happened. And for god sake WHY ARE YOU SEARCHING HER TOO????

I am not from Oklahoma, I have driven through it. I didn't mention the Sharia Law thing either. But now I am curious how much things have changed in that state.

Is it possible that many of the laws there have changed after the OKC bombing the same way as US laws have changed after 9/11?

Nope, same laws. You can tell them no i suppose but then they will detain you and get a search warrant.

Not without probable cause. You can tell them no and they can not search you. Doesn't mean they won't harass you though. If you say no and they persist though you could possibly press charges for illegal search and seizure and harrassment.

I know this cause it happened to me, I was asked by an officer if he could search my car I said no, he proceeded to ask me 5 or 6 more times until I finally let him, because I was on a road trip and the stop had already lasted over 45 minutes at that point.

When I returned home I called his superior officer threatening to press charges. I did not, because I don't have extra cash to throw around at lawyers and time to get tied up in the court system, but I did get his superior to call an investigation and review the tape and I gave that officer a good run for his money.

Moral of the story, they can waste your time, but then you can get even by wasting theirs.

...and by proxy wasting even more of my time.

Also, probable cause amounts to whatever the hell the cop wants.

Possibly but when an officer of the law tries to buck the system at you, buck the system right back at him.

At the very least I made this officer realize that him harassing me caused him an investigation and threatened his livelihood. He should have just gave me a damn speeding ticket and left me alone, but he harassed me for an hour and gave me a speeding ticket anyways. So I got revenge and it was sweet.

I only have to be really careful if I drive through that town again not to get pulled over by him.

i imagine the laws are similar...
police do not follow laws though..

for example, this is a little trick they like to do here...

they get about 5 cop cars, and pull them all off on the shoulder with the lights going... they do this on a bend on the road (i.e. double yellow lines), when you go around them, even with slowing down and being cautious, they pull you over for failure to yield to emergancy vehicle... they will then search your car saying that you are moving around too much (usually removing you from the car at gun point), at very least, you go home, and get $120 failure to yield ticket... their point, however, is to stack on the charges and generate revenue...

Yeah, I know in Colorado there are a lot of cops, a lot. They find all kinds of ways to mess with folks, I think because there are so many of them and not much to do plus they have to fill their quotas and generate revenue. Texas is different depending on where you are, in Houston for example there are way more people than cops so they don't mess with people quite as much.

What I was looking for were different laws that vary state to state. Like for instance in Texas, an eighteen year old can purchase an alcoholic beverage at a restaurant if accompanied by parents.

One other example I can think of is go the NORML website and pull up the map and see how the laws are different in each state.

Now when you get into the county and municipal courts and they all have their differences. Its like a game, if you can figure it out it can work to your advantage. If not, you cough up revenue just like everyone else who has been through the system.

I think all politicians should have to start out by spending 30 days in jail. It might help them get some perspective.
