You have not yet addressed the possibility that these were the NOSS satellites.

Have you ruled this out? If so, why have you ruled this out?

I could see them changing directions and taking off into space,

Also if they were satellites, why did the rear light disappear BEFORE the light in front of it?

It is hard to tell if they are truely moving in a straight line or not due to the movement of the camera, but when I try to gauge their path of travel against the backdrop of the stars, it seems to me they were moving in a straight line.

The Earth is round, so the edge of the sun/shadow portion in space will not be a straight line. Therefore, it is quite possible for the trailing satellite to go into shadow prior to the middle satellite.

If the satellites were arranged in a straight line, I would agree with you. However, they are not in a straight line, but instead staggered laterally, which means that they would not necessarily be hitting the curved sun/shadow line in a "first, then second, then third" manner that they would if they were lined up behind each other.

Did you read the video info?
If you did you would understand it was filmed in infrared = not visible to the human eye.

That doesn't explain why you can see stars between the three moving dots. Even if the ship could only be seen in infrared, that doesn't mean that starlight would pass right trough it.

It's not one big triangular object, but rather it is three separate objects.
