I agree on the fake part. It looks like a movie set, planting one '80's piece' as 'evidence' but then they forget to use a real clock (look at it, it says 8:20 in the beginning and 6 minutes later it's still the same time).
The actor is acting, his body language, looking away from the camera, that's not natural.

And the video looks too good for a 1980's video tape. They may have added some film grain, but in 1080p it looks just too perfect and new.

Also, this has probably been mentioned .. but, the broken clock is a dead give away. Check a watch ad in a magazine or look at a clock on a sitcom. A lot of the time they're set to 10:10 or 8:20. People like symmetric angles and these two times provide an appealing aspect to viewers. The clock in the video is stopped at 8:20.

Well the screen capture of the old man with the lady with the white dress on behind him is definatly from the 1980's. Just look at those shoulder pads on the white dress! Can anyone say Joan Collins.

How do you know the resolution is too high? It may be fake, i think it can be real just from judging it on a small youtube clip alone. Could be from a well preserved broadcast master tape. Dont forget that cameras dont only rely on resolution alone but also the lens plays a big part in the image quality.

Ever watch BBC shows from the 80s? They are high quality, not HD but very good.

This to me seems pathetically staged. I mean, why the deliberate angle? The camera isn't facing him. It's off to the left so to be sure to include the 'vintage' chair and albums.

Problem is that the 80's stuff used in the set was too well staged, the projector box was the most obvious imho. It was in the set designed to make it look 1980, but it was obviously well aged even though it was very current tech circa 1980... nice try. That looks a hell of a lot like some one trying to make a video that looks like its from the 80's when it isnt...

Its the guys glasses that make me uneasy for some reason. They scream "im trying to be intelligent and retro 80's but over compensating into cliche!". Also it seems oddly off, as some one that grew up in the 80's im used to the way it looked with things like TV and Video back then and this looks 'wrong' on a subconscious level to me.

looks like a hoax to me, old video filters or actual old cameras are easy to access, and like another poster said, his acting abilities are not the best, a nameless actor on youtube isn't a source anyone should take seriously.
