I rarely dream (or at least remember them), and I'm not completely on that bandwagon either. But ever since this year started I too have been having especially vivid dreams, and many of them have been the freaky kinda dreams that I haven't had since I was in my early teens nearly 15 years ago.

Read between the lines on that one....

I have in fact been having more vivid dreams than usual lately. They are of nothing specific at times and others can be mayhem, but upon waking i get the shifting feeling as i come back to reality. Almost like the "i swear i was just somewhere else" in a very strong way.

It seems to be happening more often as of late. I put it down to my subconcious taking in all of the events during the past year, i mean... 2011 was a busy year and "alot" of stuff happened. I suppose that the more information our brains record during a specific period of time, the more time our brains need to unravel and understand that information while we are asleep...

What does a vivid dream mean anyway, what is the reason behind them? I've always tried to understand that our brains deconstruct oblivious information as we sleep, and that the more information there is to try to understand... influences what goes on when we dream.

There's always a different answer, but this one seems the most logical to me.

I've always had dreams but the recent ones are rather 'different' and I've also had the hardest time falling and staying asleep.

Now this might sound like insomnia but the thing is, I've never had that problem before, in fact, I've been medittating since I was 12 years old; I'm 34 now. Falling asleep is usually a small ritual which consists of nothing more than counting backwards from 3 to 1 by which time I am usually asleep. Sure I've had a lot of changes happen in my life and that could be to blame but I've always dealt with complicated situations, so really, not much has changed in that regard.

I'm not a 2012 follower and I wouldn't suggest you jump on any band wagon but there is a shift in consciousness. It's already evident on the way we have been communicating in the past decade or two. We are now on social networks which connects all of our thoughts together, we communicate without talking from one side of the globe to the other and through this we are changing. We are getting indefinitely closer and more intimate with each other. Objectively thinking, I'd say that this was a preview in the next step in our biological evolution and I'd say it's coming soon. Subjectively, what I feel cannot be described but there is a change coming soon, it's very very near, perhaps even this year. The "noise" in my head, as I describe it, is being laid out for all to read and I'm pretty sure that soon, everyone will understand exactly what that means.

"i swear i was just somewhere else"

EXACTLY!!!! I have had that feeling repeatedly the past few nights. Dream after dream, and every time I wake up with that "wait, I thought I was somewhere else" feeling. Dreaming isn't that unusual for me, but remembering them is VERY unusual, and having such vivid dreams is way out of the ordinary.

I thought it was just me!
