The first votes (only 9) have been cast in the tiny village of Dixville Notch.

So far, it is pretty close. Romney and Huntsman are tied for first, with Paul and Gingrich in second.

Romney and Huntsman received two votes each. Coming in second with one vote apiece were Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul.

The other 3 votes went to Obama.

The nine residents who cast their ballots include three registered Republicans and two registered Democrats. Four other voters haven't declared a party.

Not looking good for Perry at the moment, with 0%

Yay , so Ron Paul is tied for second hehehe.
Romney s `I love to fire people` comment was also very well timed to push more people towards Ron , so this may be very interesting.

Or are just old.

According to wiki, this is how they voted in 1960:

1960 General Election: (9 voters) Richard M. Nixon - 9 John F. Kennedy - 0

Hopefully this is NOT representative of the rest of the US!

According to wikipedia, its tradition to vote at midnight there. They only have 9 residents, so its a 100% turn out.

They're population is still only 9 since 1960???

Wonder if the name of the place hints at why the population hasn't grown? Hehe
