13 U.S. Marines vs. Gray aliens

My thought has always been that a squad of Marines could take on any type of opponent and always win. But I just want to know what you think.

So how do 13 Marines stack up to any number of Gray aliens? Here's the strengths and weaknesses, a scouting report:

U.S. Marines
Pros: 13 Marines, extremely heavily armed:
-13 M-9 9mm Personal Defense Weapons.
-7 M-16A4 5.56mm Assault Rifles capable of being fired very accurately.
-3 M-249 Squad Automatic Weapons, deadly accurate.
-M-67 Fragmentation Grenades
-M16A1 and M18 mines.
-2 M-136 AT-4 Light Anti-Armor Weapons.
-Air support from AH-1W Sea Cobras, AV-8B Harriers, and F/A-18A Hornets armed with AGM-65E Maverick missiles and BGM-71 TOW missiles.
-Can call in artillery.
-If needed, tactical nuclear weapons from Carrier Air Wing, destroyers and cruisers, and hundreds of strategic nuclear warheads from lone Ohio-class SSBN.
-AN/PVS-7B Night-Vision Goggles.
-Good food and water.
-Best standard military combat training.
-Winning team.
-Ultimate bad-asses.
Cons:
-Only 13 Marines.
-If radio fails, air support, artillery, nukes, and rescue are gone forever.
-Only see what they see (stealth will destroy them).
-Run out of ammo, hand-to-hand fighting is not effective against Grays.

Grays:
Pros:
-Telepathy.
-The Stare.
-Disturbing-looking.
-Can break the laws of physics.
-UFOs.
-Unknown arsenal of powerful weapons.
-Lots of stuff we don't know about.
Cons:
-Disturbing-looking means we want to kill them that much more.
-Short. Just run them over.
-Very frail.
-Cannot fight humans capable of defending themselves.
-Without UFO, completely defenseless.

Who'd win?

Who knows, sounds like a half decent movie plot though! some sort of... free last man standing fight for the survival of mankind or sommin just another of my crazy ideas

You should work that idea out. Give it some legs and put on Collaborative Fiction. There is already a story called "Post Apocalyptic Sunshine" that this scenario would fit in nicely.

History has shown that the most technically advanced civilization wins..... EVERY TIME.

How would a few cowboys with winchester rifles and colt 45's go against twenty huge superbly fit indians with knives and bows and arrows ?

Your Rambo marines are from the stone age...... No contest.

But these guys are not Rambo Marines. IN fact, Rambo and Marine don't go together.

The aliens would simply win. They could nuke the planet from orbit and end it all.

That's assuming they HAVE nukes.

I'm going to have to go with the aliens - I mean come on, if they can get some flying saucer to our planest, surely they are past the point of being vulnerable to .223 NATO amo.

Don't forget the greatest weapons the marines would have going up against the aliens. The great human will to live.
The film has already been done though kinda, Independence Day.
Where a battle weary remenant of the human race, rally together and kick alien butt.

It will be quite interesting, however unless the marines are perhaps equiped with some stuff that is not standard issue, then 'maybe' the battle is viable.
It may also help if one of the marines is a practicing psychic in secret. Otherwise the greys could just paralyze all, confiscate all weapons, and then jam all radio signals; particularly if the greys too are quite organized (quite likely).

When the Marines were cut off behind enemy lines and the Army had written the 1st Marine Division off as being lost because they were surrounded by 22 enemy divisions. The Marines made it out inflicting the highest casualty ratio on an enemy in history and destroying 7 entire enemy divisions in the process. An enemy division is 16500+ men while a Marine division is 12500 men.

Everyone, just read the situation I've made and the pros and cons of each side. This is not Independence Day.

This is 13 Marines lost somewhere in the mountains of North Korea having to deal with freaky Gray aliens.

Hmm, make it special forces, and they might win . Who knows, the Aliens would probably win though; haven't you ever seen predator?

Never mind all that. Get the marines to crap in a bag and light it on fire and leave it outside the UFO door. Get in a good sniping position wait for the Greys to come outside and stomp it out and then pop one in their head.

On a more serious note, if they're able to break the laws of physics then I'd have to say the Greys will win.
