China warns US to be 'careful' in military refocus on Asia

www.msnbc.msn.com

BEIJING — China's Ministry of defense warned the United States on Monday to be "careful in its words and actions" after announcing a defense rethink that stresses responding to China's rise by shoring up U.S. alliances and bases across Asia......"We hope that the United States will flow with the tide of the era, and deal with China and the Chinese military in an objective and rational way, will be careful in its words and actions, and do more that is beneficial to the development of relations between the two countries and their militaries."

Well it seems like China has had enough provoking from the US. This does not seem like the usual saber rattling that has been going on lately. It was blatantly put to watch our words on how we address them and their military. I did a search and did not find this latest warning so If this has been covered already i apologize and delete the thread

So instead of going the

a) "I got super bullets"

b) "Oh yea..I got a laser shield that stops em"

a) " Well I have laser penetrating photon beams

b) " I got photon cancellation rays"

etc

China is calmly stating between the lines that they are prepared to deal with the US if they feel threatened and any escalation of military assets in the region will be matched. They don't need to rattle any saber as they know words don't mean anything. It's a silent F O to the US.

Couple this warning with an earlier threat against us and we've got ourselves WW3 simmering in the crock-pot.
www.eutimes.net...

Now couple that with Israel pushing us to make a decision immediately about how to deal with the new underground enrichment facility in Iran. Then add in the fact that the Russian navy is in a Syrian port. I think Russia is using the conflict in Syria to get its troops as near to Iran as they can this way if Israel or the US attack, Russian troops are already there to protect Russian interest.

Interesting action by China. Very polite. Very Diplomatic way of saying "you need to watch your mouth and keep your hands to yourself!"

What? watch what you say? and do? or what?

All this nation has to do is pull American business out of there and they will fold interesting note now here if the US told China this then all hell would be breaking loose about how arrogant the us is.

The hypocrisy never ends on this site.

I agree, and intelligence is lacking as well.

Imagine a scenario of China`s battlefleet parked 2 miles off the coast of Israel, threatening to attack at any time.

Do you think the US would suggest to the Chinese to think hard about their actions.

Do you think!

Careful of what? The US has got alliances in Asia and has for most kept things largely stable in the Asia/Pacific region since the end of WWII. The economic boom that has taken shape in China and elsewhere would not have been possible without the US. The Chinese have brought this new approach and change in strategy upon themselves. China has decided to change the normal ebb and flow in Asia by their recent actions.

They have been throwing their weight around a lot lately in regards to the South China sea, border wranglings with India, making deals with Pakistan amid concerns by both the US and India, economic double-dealing and manipulation, and many other ominous acts. Lets face it, China wants the US out of the Pacific region! Better get that air craft carrier online, their J20 stealth fighter functional, rest-up their army of hackers, and get ready whatever else they have up their sleeve. Just so China is not late to the party that is about to go down. Get ready for the new Cold War.

Just like Israel posters on ATS could care less about facts and substance it is about personal beliefs and they are subjective.

If the US was to issue the same statement the posters would say how arrogant they are blah blah blah.

What does Israel have to with this? As far as a Navy is concerned Israel is about the farthest place on Earth from China.

What gauntlet of territorial waters do you expect China's "battlefleet" to go through to get to Israel? Or do their ships fly now?

I will spell it out for you.
Many people and posters instead of looking at the facts look only from within. What is good for the goose is not good for the gander.

It could be anything really from judging policies to dealing with you friends and neighbors. The facts do not matter only personal truth matters.

You made a point about if the US had said the same thing what would they receive as feedback. Apply that common sense to everything.

China will be the one to fold if the US pulls its business out of it? That's pretty rich, coming from a citizen of a country that produces billions of its own currency out of thin air just to keep pushing bankruptcy for the next generation to deal with

Really now Government and consumers stop making goods in China and buying their crap and the Government stops borrowing from them the rise of China is only due from that "Cash from thin air" even tho China has the worlds largest population this country is the largest consumer in the world which means this country made china.

There is no way China can sustain itself or that cash cow without us.

You do realize that China deals extensively with other countries besides the US, right?

Perhaps you should look into BRIC. BRIC is an economic alliance between Brazil, Russia, India and China, and there are other countries who wish to be a part of it (if not already). Shanghai Cooperation Organization is another such alliance.

Pray tell, has the thought ever crossed your mind that China is not a materialistic nation? Maybe it has been part of their strategy all along to hook materialistic America into forming a dependence on Chinese products, just to hold significant geostrategic play. Imagine what would happen if there is a military conflict between China and the US- do you think it will be the US who will throw the first economic sanctions?

China is in a tough spot. China wants to be a regional power but is surrounded by powerful nieghbors, none of which it has very good ties. It has rivals in Russia, India, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea and Tawian all around. To be a regional power China has to build its Navy up to par to be able to deal with any of there possible threats. This however makes its neighbors nervous and they move closer to the US. Japan, Taiwan, RoK, ASEAN and The Five Power Defence Treaty nations depend on treaty ties with the US to keep them safe. The US forces in the area give them that feeling. This is where China is in a bind. It is no match for the US Navy however, if the USN were to leave it would be faced with a massive arms build up by everyone in the entire region. This would make things more expensive for China and threaten shipping lanes. So the USN is also the best thing for China but, at the same time the US could shut down China over night by blocking its trades in the unlikely event it chose to. So what is China to do? Not even China knows which is why you see them praising the close ties with US one moment and warning of US global dominance the next.

Well they could always abolish money and use stamps. Then put 1 billion people to the mines and work by force and build underground military manufacturing facilities to produce even more weapons. Who knows they may already have underground facilities like this. Perhaps some of the top ground facilities do both ie. 10 CPU for you and 1 sneakily shipped for military use by us.

The old joke back in the 80 and 90's about the Chinese being "a bunch of tire kickers" couldn't be further from the truth, TODAY.

***It's one thing to impose sanctions on a third world country and another on a technologically advanced nation abundant in resources and manpower and know how!!*** That comment was pretty much the summit of ignorance.
